Now here is my question:

WHAT THE FUCK WAS NOLAN DOING DURING ALL OF THIS?

He was the producer FFS. Did he just sit at home and chug down Goldfish crackers and Yoo-Hoo and just let Snyder do his thing? A man of his talent surely saw the shit show that was MoS and BvS.

Why didn't he do anything?

I thought Thor 2 was better than a majority of the MCU movies. I think it's underrated. But then again, I don't think GOTG is that good and conceptually even worse (a talking tree and raccoon are horrendous ideas on paper for me, ugh).

Back on topic, after seeing Metacritic (which I prefer more than Rotten Tomatoes by a long shot), I'm starting to gain acceptance. It seems in line with (on the bottom end tho) Snyder's other films and for me he's a crapshoot.
For me:

Watchmen - Classic.
300 - Amazing.
Sucker Punch - Mediocre.
Man of Steel - Worst superhero movie of all time.

So it can mean anything for me. I'm starting to get my excitement back and it's only a few days before I get to see Batman PUNCH SUPERMAN IN THE FACE WOOOOOOOOO

Affleck seems to have gotten a respectable critical reception. Snyder and his writers being up for Razzies wouldn't be surprising, though, given that the storytelling is mostly what's getting ripped to shreds.

If anyone gets a Razzie worst supporting actor nod it might be Jesse Eisenberg, since a lot of critics are calling his performance a Zuckerberg retread or just overdone.

He was such an awfully pick to began with; Honestly one of the worst miscasting in years.

ASM 2 was much better than Spiderman 3, something people like to forget.

good lord it was not

ASM2 is most likely the worst superhero movie, without counting "no one cared" abortions

it's a complete piece of shit with nothing redeeming about it other than maybe some colorful CG sequence

it made me sick

He ain't doing shit other than cashing checks.

He rightfully disassociated himself from Snyder.

Spielberg produced the Transformers films. He doesn't care; he gets a nice paycheck for almost no involvement! I call that the good life.

Its the directors vision. A shitty director.

On the topic of Thor 2, I kinda find it telling that it's the only MCU film I haven't gone out of my way to see yet. I've seen most of them in theaters as of this point, and the few I haven't seen I've caught on DVD (the first Iron Man and Captain America) or on TV (the first Thor). I'll probably get around to seeing The Dark World, I'm sure of it....

*Executive produced.

Which by this point (Age of Extinction) I'm inclined to agree that's exactly what his role actually equates to.

He was doing the same thing Spielberg was doing when Revenge of the Fallen was going off the rails.

One aggregate score not meeting your expectations doesn't mean that another won't.

Well, most marvel films tend to get above 70% in those site, and they are all below average and simple products.

I think Marvel has set up a format of super heroe movie and deviations from that stuff tend to be not well recieved.

That and I really liked Man of Steel, so maybe im the one with shitty taste and not reviewers.

Justice League starts shooting NEXT MONTH! By God stop this madness and throw Snyder off the goddamn lot.

START OVER!

Now I know why he had such a quick turnaround, he knew his movie sucked!

It's still going to do $1b ww...WB will care if fans and the ga don't like it, but not enough to stop the train.

Are they? I haven't actually read any of the reviews, just some of the blurbs.

A fair few of them fault the movie for not being funny and quirky, which doesn't make much sense considering the style of Batman they are going for and the whole "there are these alien superheroes just chilling on earth, the fuck we do?"

I'm a little surprised by how harsh the reviews have been so far, when maybe I shouldn't be. Zack Snyder - while seeming like a great, humble guy in the couple of Q&As I've seen him at - has yet to make a film that didn't boil down to just action. Even Dawn of the Dead - often touted as his masterpiece - was just okay to me.

My faith still rests in the Affleck-directed Batman film and Ayer's Suicide Squad. Both have a much better track record than Snyder.

Nolan doesn't give a shit, he is waaaay to good for all of this, Just slapping his name on it for that $. Question is how many calls he gets in the middle of the night from WB, crying and begging for him to take over.

The Bottom Line: Director Zack Snyder delivers above and beyond the wildest of expectations. ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ is an awesome mind-blowing spectacle of what an extraordinary superhero film is and should be, filled with edge-of-the-seat action on a grand scale, amazing character-driven stories, and immense heart. Snyder absolutely nails it by making us root for these characters and believe they could exist in our real world.

My Rating: 4.5/ 5

This is split as a muthafucka'

if i was that mcweeney guy i'd tweet this out:

https://youtu.be/1pvs9M7mXnU?t=2s

but that would be completely unprofessional of him so it would be a bad idea haha. i remember when many people (probably myself too, don't remember) were doubting him when he said that WB was worried about the reception this one will get.

I just got home, how do the reviews lo-

Did LOL

As far as I am concerned the film is getting its just desserts, When you stick with the same creative force behind Man of Steel (the worst comic book movie in recent years... even Hasslehoff's Nick Fury tv movie was better!) you are in for some serious trouble.

I remember leaving the theater baffled by whatever the fuck ASM2 was. Like... it was a feverdream of bad dubstep, awkward romance (?), and bad tablesetting.

It is because the entire idea of superman makes no sense in the Nolan batman universe.

That's it bring back superman lives. Nick cage is the only one who can save the franchise.

fuck, did you see the doc?

it looked fucking cool man. It was like a one-off comic with someone being given the helm to just do a complete retake on the mythos

like, enough stuff completely changed to avoid pissing people off on what they got "wrong"

the core of the character was also very intact. Burton totally got him
