I will never not love how the image they got for Fincher makes him look like he's trying his own Blue Steel.

Strangely enough, Nolan was involved in the decision making of having Zack Snyder lead the future of DC instead of Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code)

His last half-decent film was 7 years ago... why would anyone hold Snyder up to some standard of excellence now?ZS is a hack 300 hundred wasn't even good. Hell the Dawn of the Dead remake is only service able. I saw sucker punch cause my wife wanted to it was a horrible fucking movie. ZS is done if the reviews keep coming like this

I think usually when it gets to 30 reviews/5 top critic reviews they put a consensusReviews all seem to have the same critiques. How long before we can expect an RT consensus?
It not going to reach 60%Were people expecting Nolan's RT numbers? Be happy with 60% or so. Still can't wait to see this in IMAX.
Don't let reviewers shape what you may possibly think (or not think) about a movie like this.
These reviews are quite abstract in their criticism. It seems that the film lacks any real identity as it tries to present a philosophical narrative whilst balancing CGI fight sequences. Whilst I didn't expect this to redefine the genre, it makes me more curious about the film to try to understand exactly how it fell flat. If it did at all.
Perhaps pacing? Acting? Script?
If you take these reviews at first glance, they seem to imply this film is one step away from inducing a family death.
They sound insulted at the film's portrayal of itself as a thinking man's superhero movie whilst not doing enough to justify it. That doesn't mean it's not a good film.

What I don't like about some of these reviews is how they're piling on about the tone.
I don't want a happy, funny DC Universe. That's not the comic world I love.

"Top critics" Oh my sides.
Everything's coming up Snyder!
If the reviews continue like this I think it's safe to say that Snyder is fucking done.
At least MoS had more than 50%. I'm not sure BvS can even reach that.
Preach. It's also not a comic world that has Booster Gold in it... and I don't want to live in a comic world that doesn't have Booster Gold in it.
Those are the same words I would use to describe Fantastic Four. Did you see Fantastic Four?

Nolan is unzipping his pants as we speak
Warner Bros gonna be in full beg mode
BvS will please those either waiting for the two main players to lock horns on a movie screen, or those who've just been pining for Wonder Woman forever.
There are moments that make the whole enterprise worthwhile, and introduces an intriguing new Batman. But it's also cluttered and narratively wonky; a few jokes wouldn't have gone amiss, either.

Might as well start asking Michael Bay to make good movies instead of blockbuster trash that makes a fortune.
Nolan chose poorly.
saying the movie isn't fun isn't that same as saying it needs to be a marvel comedy, that line is going to be the go to for those who can't accept these reviews.I don't know, some of the critics calling the movie "humorless" and "not fun", looks like they want another Marvel movie full of jokes and don't like this one because it have a more serious tone
But well, it's a Zack Snyder movie so maybe the critics are right. Tomorrow I will discover
.But if Chris Terrio and David S. Goyers script hobbles Eisenberg, it judo-sweeps the feet out from under every woman in sight. Both Adams Lois Lane and Diane Lanes Martha Kent are serial victims, Holly Hunters potentially sparky role as a senator prepared to stand up to Luthor never coheres, and until the big finish, Gadot isn't called on to do much but slink.
Its a Mens Rights loons dream of meathead orthodoxy, and leaves you wondering if Mad Max: Fury Road and Star Wars: The Force Awakens actually happened. Imagine Affleck, standing shirtless in a dungeon, repeatedly thumping a bus tyre with a sledgehammer. Got it? Good: thats not just what the film feels like, its a real scene from it. And thats all you need to know.
Reading some of the positive reviews;
To me this sounds somewhat faint with praise and reminds me a little bit of the initial reception to The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Doesn't feel like there's much meat to this movie.

Sounds like a typical setup movie. The narratives intertwine; the movie suffers as a whole but the followup project shines with narrative cohesion
