Batman v. Superman RT Thread: like standing ovations in rain

I mean, low scores and all, this movie will likely make bank so WB shouldn't have anything to worry about.

If Jurassic World can break records as a steaming pile of garbage, so can this. The only thing that might hamper it is Superhero fatigue.

I feel like the only way people would be happy with this movies tone is if it starred Adam West as Batman.

Complaining about the darker theme of this movie is silly when we've known what we would be getting for a loooong time now. Especially as the source material it references is also dark as hell.

It seems to me that everyone is rushing to get that perfect dig in on Snyder.

Delicious delicious tears...

The Winter Soldier did a "dark tone" well. Civil War seems to be on that path as well. Man of Steel and seemingly BvS are just doing a piss shit job at making it work well.

This thread is hilarious to read. It helps ease the pain of this news D: I didn't like MoS so I suppose I shouldn't be too surprised. ALTHOUGH, I am pretty damn annoyed that I came across what I think are some major ass spoilers in this thread.

DC fans in denial starting to pour in.
We were complaining about the darker themes because we knew from MoS that Snyder couldn't do them justice.

I agree with this.

WB gave Zack Snyder everything that he needed to succeed with Batman vs Superman

Snyder was given an oscar winning writer like Chris Terrio. He was given a big budget to work with. Snyder had great composers like Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight) and Junkie XL (Mad Max Fury Road, Deadpool). He had great actors involved like Jeremy Irons, Laurence Fishburne, Amy Adams, Ben Affleck, etc. And to Snyder's credit, he DOES know how to create films with really cool visuals.

So how did he mess up so bad with Batman v Superman? It really boggles my mind.

Did they just completely fuck this movie up in the editing room? Because everyone is saying that the editing feels off in this film.

Probably because WB demanded Snyder and Terrio shoehorn everything JL in there. If studio wants to meddle then there's not much you can do.
