Forbes reviewer says "Not helping is a terribly written Bruce Wayne/Batman. Ben Affleck is a fine actor, but his Batman/Bruce Wayne is the least appealing cinematic incarnation you've ever seen."

That seems to go against what most people say.

holy shit-this should be in the OP.

It'll probably be enjoyable-ish at worst.

Still I don't understand. If it has the same problems as man of steel then why why why did they still have Snyder on the project? Surely DC's people aren't dumb enough to have the same thing happen twice right? I'd hope at least with the money being thrown around.

Probably because despite its quality it made them money. This one will too. The brand is bigger than everything else in this case.

Seems like critics dislike this film for not being the film they want it to be rather than what it is. Again. Why complain that it has no humour or is not Donner version you grew up with ffs.

Or this quote points to this movie not having anything successful or unique it can point to at all as a redeeming feature.

I think the other films are brought up to show that the film is lacking in areas and that these other comic films managed to hit on

It's just makes the point stand out more. The reviewer could say that it's humorless and shallow without hose comparisons; they just serve to strengthen their point

I knew this was going to be shite. Such a stupid idea in the first place. Stupid Batman.

I have no doubt that the reviews are gonna be better later but

At least Man of Steel had a somewhat respectable "mixed" reception out of the gate.

This is straight up abysmal.

Goes against what most people say or what most DC fans say?

They need to get rid of Snyder and hurry up and make a Batman film.
Hopefully they get someone else in to do Justice League.

wow i wish i could say more about this film... but i think youre all going to be very very satisfied.

i wouldnt trust some of these negative pre reviews farther than batman can throw superman:)

oh boy. Well, I'm still gonna see it, but I was hoping Affleck could salvage whatever disaster of a script DC decided on. Oh well, there's always Suicide Squad.

Time for the DCU to get a reboot.

Still seeing it on Thursday but I'll go in there with tepid expectations.

Jesus Christ.

I was trying to be optimistic. My brother in law just texted me this:

M Night Shyamyalan had unbreakable, 6 sense and signs

Snyder will never be him

Also my brothers....lone Ranger got 31 on RT. There's still hope this is decent!....or not. Snyder's no gore verbinski. Fuuuuck please don't drag Batgod down back to the mud.

I'm having a hard time fathoming a more uncompelling Batman than Bale's but I guess here we are.

Well... damn... I had hope against hope... but this... this bad? ...this is depressing. Batman and Superman's first on-screen meeting... and THIS is what we get. *Sighs*
