I feel our server should be about fun. Yeah, we want teamwork etc, but I think trying to organise squads/classes is too far. As a player I would find it infuriating and as an admin I would have no desire to enforce it.

It goes against what I feel our server should be about. Once you get into strict stuff like that it becomes clan territory, IMO. If a squad is happy being 4 engineers we should just let them be.

If we had 6 person squads its easier to split the squad into 2 fireteams but with the 4 person squads we do need to coordinate with another squad.

That game (and, later to a lesser extent, Homefront) is what prompted my thread. BC2 was unbelievable when it came to the sniper/recon class. MY ENTIRE TEAM. asldjfasld;fasd

At this point, we have more than enough money (we're near $800 ) to purchase a server for a year. Tonight I am going to take donations down. While donating guarantees a reserved slot, we are considering other ways of getting reserved slots to people, as I know some of you don't have the means to donate right now but wanted to. However, we really can't make any promises. If you'd like to donate, please do so before midnight tonight (CST, roughly).

We have also tossed around the idea of a second server, but that's really more than we have time to manage at this point. Maybe once the servers get a bit more stable and the tools a bit more robust, we can look at getting donations for a second server (32 player Rush server?), but for now, we're sticking to our single server.
