You have to click on Battlefield 3 channel specifically. Double click it. You must have been in the main channel. Each game has its own specific channel on that server.

Question: If an enemy scout heli has laser painter + guided missile, can I use flares to prevent my scout heli from dying?

No, you currently need ECM to break the lock. When the new patch comes out, apparently flares can be used to distract the missle.

Ok, this is what I thought and what I'm told, yet I have personally had this one guy dodge every single one of my laser painted guided missiles simply by flaring. How was he doing this?

No, it was on Damavand Peak, I was staring at him the whole time, he was hovering nearly motionless in the same spot, in range and perfect for a shot. He flared mine, then used his to wreck my shit.

Am I sure that I was using Laser Painter + ECM + Guided Missile against another pilot using Laser Painter + Flares + Guided Missiles? Yeah I tend to remember things that enrage me.

Yeah. Most of the people who were going bowling bailed so it was just my core crew. I can hang with them any time I like without having to injure my wrist, so I passed on the bowling and instead went out and hit the bar with them after.
I'm playing now if anyone wants to join, though I AM using my own personal mumble server though. It's 206.217.128.154:2837 if anyone wants to join
