So they did patch the frame cap for quality mode? Pre patch it was capped at 60, very baffling.Quality mode 30fps. Balanced mode 40fps/120hz 45fps/60hz. Performance 60fps with frame gen

Most recent pro patches have been good. Probably all are using newer versions of pssr. There's a 2 hour trial on premium and gave it a try. One of the very successful PSSR implementations, looks great.
48-60 VRR is certainly doable 99% of the time.So they couldn't run 60fps on Pro without frame doubling. Huh.
I believe this is the first unreal engine 5 game with lumen where PSSR doesn't have major issues. I'd really like to know what they're doing different than say, from Bloober. Most recent pro patches have been good. Probably all are using newer versions of pssr.
What’s new for pro?
Bloober may have used a previous version of itI believe this is the first unreal engine 5 game with lumen where PSSR doesn't have major issues. I'd really like to know what they're doing different than say, from Bloober.
Marvel Rivals seems to be a good implementation too with their Pro mode from what I've seen.I believe this is the first unreal engine 5 game with lumen where PSSR doesn't have major issues. I'd really like to know what they're doing different than say, from Bloober.
From what I understand, it "can" if the game is explicitly programmed to. It isn't system-level like Xbox. I wish Sony hadn't fumbled this. We wouldn't even need to be discussing framerate, 40hz etc. Everything would just run at max framerate with VRR.At 120hz mode it can use low frame rate compensation.
I have a 120HZ VRR TV. But 40fps is a big no for me. Especially on OLED.This game shows (as some others had already) that you need 120hz vrr tv to really get good performance in most games this gen on consoles.
Started playing the game last night, but decided to not go too far. The FSR artifacts and blurry picture were really bad.
Saw the video before coming back home from work, and from that, i thought the upgrade wouldnt be too big, but it honestly is.
The game looks much higher res compared to before. The picture looks much cleaner too without all of the FSR artifacts. Hell, with the better IQ, the settings even look higher, even tho it seems the devs didnt change those.
The game just looks much much better than before. And i think youtube videos dont convey that properly.

The trial is the full game essentially so the save file and trophies all carry over.Does the 2 hour trial keep your save file if you buy the real game?
So has anybody tested or felt any difference with the "input response" or "stability of frames" on the 60fps perf mode with frame gen mode? Also anybody notice any difference with the graphics in that mode? Also, did anybody notice that it now has a sharpening option. I dont that wasn't there before this update.
- The stability of frame rates and visual clarity in both Balanced Mode and Quality Mode have been enhanced.
- The input response speed has been improved in Performance Mode.
This console has been a scam so far cause we can't blame everything on the devs, they've been more bad patches than actual good ones.
This game needs frame gen to hit 60fps from 30fps at 1080p. It's 100% blame on the devs. Bad optimization. That's not Sony fault.Don't remember the game having a sharpness slider before.
Anyway, once again, people appear to be glad with a minimum/barebones enhancement patch, yes, game looks nice now on balanced but, this is an action game and a sub 60fps performance is a no-go for me, imagine spending 800 Euros and being happy with this kind of patch.
Unfortunately, it's still gonna be performance mode for me with its bad IQ and the slider set to 4 since it's an OK compromise between blurry and over sharpened.

Wukong's PS5 Pro patch is an interim update, and the developer will continue to improve the UE5 60fps mode.Don't remember the game having a sharpness slider before.
