Thing runs at 30fps on Steam Deck so you should be fine. How playable is this on a 3060? How much can I realistically play?
I bought a PS4 just for Bloodborne (and then got rid of it) and am very interested in a PC version, as I only play PC.
You fucking serious, son?Shut it down, Sony!!!

Can't wait for 100% PT emulation. I know there are some emu attempts before this, but there are workarounds and bugs with those. While I have kept my PS4 just for PT, it would be good to play in with some improved graphics mods (HDR, higher resolution, etc).
Glad to see Bloodborne making progress for its fans though.
Yeah, this is a remake and not emulation. It's also very obvious right from the start that it's not the real deal. The emu 1.4 version is more closer than this.Unreal P.T. by InvertedEarthTheory

Exactly . Take the current version and run it at 4k 60FPS and it will still look pretty darn good without looking dated . Bluepoint remake wasn't a bad idea , but I don't like some of their changesThey mention a Bloodborne remake by Bluepoint as a possible alternative, but honestly, I'd rather emulate the original game.
They waited too long. Fuck 'em.They mention a Bloodborne remake by Bluepoint as a possible alternative, but honestly, I'd rather emulate the original game.
I don't want a Bluepoint style remake. I want them to either release a proper remaster or a Solid Port with some minor enhancements. Otherwise, fuck off. To Sony, not to you. You're alright. Sony... they're on the Shitlist. They mention a Bloodborne remake by Bluepoint as a possible alternative, but honestly, I'd rather emulate the original game.
It basically runs fine on my potato PC
There is nothing to crack. Particles in BB are made with tessellations shaders wich are not yet supported by the emulator.Shad even manages Refantazio's proprietary engine fairly well with minor bugs. But they don't seem to be able to crack the particle nut for Bloodborne yet.
I just saw what they did to From Software art in DeS remake and would rather hope for an og rereleaseThey mention a Bloodborne remake by Bluepoint as a possible alternative, but honestly, I'd rather emulate the original game.
The Last Guardian gets in-game, but looks like nightmare fuel or German expressionist cinema.

Tess shaders support will land in main soon. Amazing progress on this emulator.
This looks amazing. Haven't followed the updates much recently, how playable is it?
Looking good:
There's been tons of improvements over the weeks with bug fixes for snow, blood splatter, fur and the "rainbow" texture issue and now there's this performance update. It is immaculate and he plays for 14 minutes without a single hitch. 1% low is a tight 59fps the entire time while traversing several areas. It jumps to 77fps during the Rom boss fight, guess it's a quirk of the engine.
More games start booting while Gravity Rush 2 and The Last Guardian start getting in-game

Considering getting up to 60fps requires the actual game to be patched, I don't buy this being a good target to improve emulation and much more of a "piracy with added steps" kind of deal!
What does this even mean? Of course it’s improving emulation, and running at 60 fps.
so modding games equals piracy nowConsidering getting up to 60fps requires the actual game to be patched, I don't buy this being a good target to improve emulation and much more of a "piracy with added steps" kind of deal!
*sigh* there's always oneInsert Emulation=piracy slop here
Quit the corporate shilling. This has nothing to do with game preservation and no one framed it as such. Not remember when the first attempts at running BB on higher spec hardware (Faking a PS5 container) revealed that like previous FROM games going above 30fps resulted in problems because some of the logic was linked to frame-rate? Meaning that of its playing properly at 60 it must be using a modified binary.
Which leads to the obvious question if you're modifying those bits of code to get a "better" result, why stop there?
As to the piracy with added steps argument; what else do you call it when the game being emulated is still being sold new, as is the platform its running on?
I also have to say that I couldn't care less about people pirating stuff, what gets on my tits is the dishonest double-speak where its presented as not being what it actually is. You know, the "game preservation" fake-apologists and the like. People who really only want more warez, but don't have the balls to say what they really want directly... usually because they know they'd get push-back if they actually spoke the truth.

Clear I own the game and a PS4. I want to play the game at 60fps on my PC. That's not piracy.
Lmao. Sony had almost a decade to port the game and didn't do it. Don't try to put the blame on an emulator. The problem is that stuff like this disincentivizes actual official porting, and actual preservation.
I doubt anyone here care about what you see or don't see as an issue. That's on you, deal with it.I also have a fundamental issue with emulation of software and hardware that is still being actively sold in the marketplace. Its unethical.
Why would I care about everyone else? Also, who is everyone else? People butthurt about emulators? I don't care about them.Congrats. How about everyone else? The world doesn't revolve around you and your wants.
I don't follow the herd. I speak my mind on issues like this and I really don't mind whether people agree or disagree.
No, its an entirely separate thing. I cannot believe you misconstrued that interpretation from what I wrote, this seems really bad-faith to me.
My comment was simply that it was irrelevant to improvement in emulation quality. Because if you are modifying the source binary to get an x result, your gains are a result of modding not improvement in emulation!
Also, the main qualitatives of emulation are precision and universality, not performance. Its why HLE solutions have fallen by the wayside even though they will always be more efficient in a coding sense.
Congrats. How about everyone else? The world doesn't revolve around you and your wants.
