Just turned the game off. Im level 38 and the shirtless men are such brick fucking walls in true vault hunter mode. I almost broke my controller this is so uncompromisingly difficult. It almost decreases my fondness of the game. Fuck. Shit. Piss.

Anyone know how to take em down. I can't do anything. They take down my turret like its nothing and the buzzards are too powerful also. Jesus Christ I'm almost willing to just move on and quit the game altogether. But dat loot

I'm at the same level and am not having an issues. Yes, it's harder, but the difficulty is greatly alleviated if you use the right elementals against the right enemies. I now make sure I carry one of every type with me just in case. Especially slag.

TVHM is tough, but I wouldn't call it cheap. Having an arsenal of elemental weapons is key, and this is the time for your current class build to shine. Played through up until the Firehawk quest and the super bad psychos (like 10 of them) was freakin' insane. Doing this solo would've been a major pain.

True Vault can be pretty relentless, and it gets worse too. Just make sure you have decent elemental guns or at the least a good strong rocket launcher. Usually I got by with that.

Yup, this is something I'm putting more emphasis on in TVH mode, too. I haven't had much trouble with the increased difficulty, but I also haven't gotten to the shirtless men yet (lol).

I just did the dam in TVHM and it was a breeze this time around. I brought a corrosive sniper rifle, and corrosive mirv grenades. So much easier than the first time I did it and didn't have corrosive weapons.

I'm not sure who the shirtless men are a reference to.

Man, I had an awful time against the boss at the dam in my first playthrough as Zero so I was going to make well and damn sure he would feel my wrath in the 2nd. Brought out my rocket launcher and tossed a bunch of grenades and he died near instantly. Sweet revenge.

Shirtless men are from
the loggins quest near ellie, in the dust. The Top Gun referenced quest.

Ohh right, they were rough my first time around. I'm doing zero side quests in TVHM, so I missed them. As for the boss robot on the dam, I just used a corrosive grenade that sucks enemies to it before it explodes, which pulled the enemies he spawned right on top of him, and then I hit him with a rocket launcher. Rinsed and repeated a few times until he was dead. So much easier than the first time when I didn't realize he was spawning an unlimited number of enemies while also zapping me with a laser.

I guess Sanctuary runs at 20 FPS but I haven't heard much else I am afraid.

I haven't had any problems.

I've had zero problems as well. That is, no problems, not problems with the assassin. lol

Has worked good for me.

No issues. This is coming off playing the PC version too. It's perfectly playable.

No issues here, as usual.

Runs perfectly.
Thanks, that's strange.
Maybe I should give it a try....I'm not sure...hmmm

Have any of you guys found a level 30-ish legendary Commando mod? I have a 29 one for Zer0, would like one for Axton though. Let me know if you want to swap (and it's something you actually found yourself).

Cataclysm is only worth it for Reaper and Ruin. I found a class mod with +4 on Reaper so I've got 72% extra damage on enemies with more than 50% health. The other damage mods don't get anywhere near that.

The other abilities are pretty lacklustre. Blight Phoenix doesn't really do anything a far as I can tell. It was the business in the first game

Eh, I feel like most of the time I get the same or more benefit out of Wreck without having to invest so many points. Only problem is being dependent on having something around that's not immune to phaselock.

Papercuts

fired zero bullets in the orphanage.
Siren mod that gives me an 83% SMG damage boost + Wreck boosted via the same mod = me cutting through any lifebar in a phaselock. So good.

I finally got some cool drops last night. A scoped, corrosive MG has become my new main. I also got an Etech rocket launcher that shoots a powerful ball of electricity then the entire launcher shoots forward like a rocket and explodes. Only one rocket used for all that too.

I also got my first purple from a drop (not a DotD or from Michael). A nice Maliwan shock pistol with a blade and a scope. Instantly takes out all shields in a single shot. Really useful.

I got all that while doing the dam mission, which was really great.
The robots are really fun to fight and Roland joining the fight after you kill the boss and using the BL1 style turret made me smile. Gaining health and ammo while all the bots came and seeing that satellite bombarding the dam was such a cool moment.
That one mission was better than any in BL1 and even better than most FPS. More like that and this game will have completely surpassed my expectations.

Wreck is pretty sweet, but as you said it's highly situational. Before I respecced to Cataclysm I used that along with some points Motion using the bullet speed ability (can't remember the name). With those I phaselocked something then switched to an explosive weapon. With the bullet speed bonus they become pretty devastating.

Doing my first playthrough solo as Axton, loving it so far but just wondered:

Some people are saying if you do all the side quests you end up way overleveled, is that an issue for everyone? are the best saved till NG+?

How do you get golden keys? I know some were pre-order...

Register for Shift on the Main Menu and you'll get a gold key free. Some of the devs also are giving them out on Twitter.

I'm not sure about the sidequest stuff. The only thing I've hears about waiting on them was on a NG+ they scale with you and are all reopened when you complete a second time so it's better just to run through the story missions on a replay first. First playthrough I'm doing all available sidequests before moving on.

Ok.

So, I`m in
Opportunity
and just did the
Statuesque
sidemission.

I had watched some gameplay videos before the release, and in the end of this mission, jack would send this huge robot against you.

However, it didn`t happen to me. Was that something they altered to show before release or was it just a glitch in my game?

Lvl 29 now. The game is awesome.

I wanna kill Jack so bad!!!! The writing in this one is 1000x better than the first. :)

Anyone else feeling like the game gets too easy when you get to mid-20s? Constructors are still tough but I feel like my only other limiting factor is ammo capacity and the fact I don't have a corrosive assualt rifle or shotgun. The side missions especially took a jump off a cliff in terms of difficulty, which is a bit of a shame because I feel like the combat is only really good when you're winning battles by the skin of your teeth.

Yeah, but then it starts to get pretty hard again once you get near the end of the game.

I took down Dukino's Mom at lvl. 32 and she's a lvl. 31.

What I did was:
- Throw 8 corrosive drain grenades (purple class).
- Use RPG for however many shots I had.
- Hide behind rock using the Bain SMG to finish her off.

Got a little lucky as she was distracted on other guys allowing me to get more critical hits in.

Hopefully it helps, saw some people talking about it before.

Im ashamed, but I would pay .99 cents or whatever for DLC that has like 10 slot machines in a row. Only having two is very limiting.

True Vault Hunter Mode is where it's at for the challenge.

found a badass shotgun and this game picks up so much steam each time you get a really powerful gun. I also fucking love grenade reload rocket launchers. Nothing like a rocket powered javlin to rock you fucking face off.

They need to make a Claptrap run Casino DLC. Rows and rows of Slot machines, poker tables where you can play against bandits and lancers. Moxxi hosting a show.

Oh and let's not forget one of Scooter's runners on a turnstile near the entrance that you can win with the special slot machine!

Question for the Zer0 aficionados

If you have a weapon with a melee boost stat attached to it, does that add to the boost you get from deception?

Perhaps it could just be a series of bad luck or me missing a number or two, but I swear I've seen less dmg with a melee boost weapon opposed to the regs sword.

Am I high?
