The shift site does not let you redeem codes from what I can tell. You have to enter them through the game.

That's not what I meant to say. I mean if the site accepts codes, it will. Regardless of Steam not being up. The site that the game pings.

Don't all the side quests reset after first play through? The advice above seems confusing. Isn't it PT2 where you should skip unique reward quests? Since they aren't reset and you want to go back in 2.5 when everything is max leveled (reward items and enemies). You can do whatever you want in the first PT, correct?

I haven't beaten the game yet, but yeah, all side quests should reset after you finish your first play through. For your second play through (True Vault Hunter Mode) you will want to leave the side quests as undiscovered. This way they will scale to your level when you do activate them later on. I will probably just go straight through the story quests during my first time through TVHM. Also, as far as I know, all enemies will scale up again (this time to level 50) once you complete TVHM.

One more thing, what is with this PT 2.5?

What does that mean. PT means Playthrough 2? What is with the 2.5?

When you finish the story on PT2, everything re-scales up to level 50+, including any side quests you skipped. That's all people mean when they say 2.5.

Who thought that time limited missions were a good idea? Just failed one twice in a row because I got stranded on the other side of the map with not enough time to get anywhere close to the objective. Ugh.

It's really just the one timed mission that is jacked up (Arms Dealing). I wouldn't be surprised if it was a glitch, considering the other ones are super easy.

The escort missions were worse for me.

At least with the time-limited ones, you can exploit the fact that you can have two cars spawned at the same time, combined with the fact that you can teleport to either vehicle from the car spawn machine.

i wonder if the real golden key codes will be limited like the first few. people are gonna be pretty angry if they are after all these tests spoiled 'em.

I'm trying to think if I've ever played any other game with enemies half as annoying as the stalkers, threshers or badass buzzards. No, I haven't played Morrowwind lol.

Is it safe to presume you can hit level 50 on PT2 if you just mainline the story quest leaving all of the side quests for PT2.5?

I didnt sell it after all.

Do people actually use these boosters?

I dumped mine into a mule account and just can't think of a time when I want that taking up one of my 27 slots instead of something...useful? idk. I had been holding onto it through my entire first play through expecting there to be maybe a race of some kind..but there isn't...so what's the point?

I imagine you'll need to do some farming along the way, but I'd think it's possible. Best advice is to just not do the sidequests that give you special weapons. Get a list of those side quests and just avoid them. The rest you can do along the way.

So what are, arguably, the best guns in the game of each type?

I have Conference Call shotgun and I've been told thats the best shotgun.
I have Bee shield, which is good if you are playing cautious, but shield is low.

How about Sniper, Assault Rifle, SMG, etc.

I'd say best sniper is probably the skullcrusher,
assault rifle the Shredifier, and SMG i guess the Hellfire.

You get pretty close. Maybe with the XP relic on the entire time. Otherwise just do some side quests that don't give interesting rewards.

Brother and I finished it last night. I enjoyed it, but a couple things stand out leaving a negative impression.

Worst last boss ever.

Worst loot ever. I had to use the same shit assault rifle for 10 levels, and then as added insult the last boss drops nothing but green and blue.

I was always fresh with awesome guns in the first, not in this one.

Just bad luck, if you actually beat the boss for the quest, theres like a 90% chance that it'll drop a legendary. (Exaggerating the percentage, but the drop chance is much higher the first time you kill him)

I just stand under the left hut, warrior can't even hit me but I have clean shots at the three spots he surfaces just fine. Heart shots yield nice crits but they also make him dive. The sequence works perfect with my reload/death blossom timing but if I had an explosive spinigun with 2x or more the magazine of this one I might shoot somewhere else just to keep him on the surface.

that sounds pretty cool, but death blossom requires your shields to go down, right? Not my kinda party. :D

Does that fire only 2 shots before needing a reload?

No. 1 shot per tigger pull. 6 bullets come out, like shotgun buckshot. In fact, think of that gun as the pistol version of a shotgun, but with better accuracy than just about any shotgun in the game...with more trigger pulls in a magazine than just about any shotgun in the game...and of course like 680 ammo instead of the 180 max shotguns come with.

Also, the bullets ricochet doing additional damage. like, that gun can 1-shot a Crystalisk, aiming only at one leg because the bullets ricochet and hit the other legs.

Basically, it's my new favorite gun. I'm sure it's not the best gun in the game, but because of the max ammo and damage multiplier, it's gotta be top tier. Not as powerful as a shotgun which can have +3x or +4x more damage multiplication, but it fires so many rounds so fast you won't miss your shotty anyway. I definitely recommend taking the time and farming it.

28k damage per trigger pull + ricochet damage + 12 pulls. C'mon, son.

No, it takes one round per shot. If it consumes more than one ammo per pull it will list it on the gun card at the bottom.
Correct.

for those wondering, we're talking about the Maggie.

No, death blossom is last skill on Cunning tree. 5 elemental kunai, plus triggers marked for death if you have it. Between the slag and the MFD you get a very large DPS boost.

If I aim for chest/heart he finishes his dive underground just as my spinigun empties. I reload and by the time he is back up so is Decepti0n so I can Death Blossom again, Mark For Death again, empty spinigun again. What I was saying is that if I had a much larger magazine in my spinigun it might make more sense to not crit and chase him underground. Doubt it, but is a possibility. :)

This game love giving me legendary shields for some reason. Already have The Bee but I've collected The Sham, The Transfromer, and The Cradle while farming for other drops that refuse to drop.

a Masher, you say? I'll try to farm that one today. I still want a fucking Legendary SMG. It's killing me that I don't have one.

Death Blossom works whenever you are using deception.

ooooh. it's a skill for Zero. I was thinking about that shield you get from a side quest with the similar name.
