I might need help from you all soon with a project I'm working on. If I do it'll just be a couple of questions about music videos. I'll let you all know later whether I will or not.

Would be happy to take part man. Give me a shout when you're ready

Things are about to get civilised. Where's that 'NeoGAF discussing video games vs. discussing porn' image when you need it?

Morning gaffers. How is everyone today?

I'm looking forward to a chilled out day and a bit/lot more Rocksmith practice. Two days under my belt so far and my god, it is kicking my arse. I know Rome wasn't built in a day and all that, but the amount of things you have to co-ordinate has given me new levels of appreciation for those who can play guitar well. Not easy!

Are you playing the original rocksmith or the new 2014 rocksmith?

I've put so many hours into those games. I love them. I could already play guitar to a standard, but I was only self taught, and I've found rocksmith really great for picking up new techniques and learning new chords and songs.

It did take a while to get the hang of, even though I could already play, as it's a completely different way of reading the music compared to tablature.

Was that the one who went on a date with Daniel? She was pretty.

Andy had a thing for the dwarf.
The best part about that date with Daniel was when he orders the ice cream. The waiter, assuming it's to share romantically, brings it over with two spoons and places into the centre of the table. Daniel just grabs it, pulls it over to him and eats the lot.

And yeah, the dwarf lady is mint, she is really cool and funny.

The one who did it yes. The trial was at the Old Bailey at the same time when Damilola Taylors was finally sorted. Met his Father, Richard. He was very comforting actually. A real gentleman.

She's apparently in the second series of Utopia.

They're definitely doing that then? Loved the 1st series, haven't heard anything about it for ages though

Afternoon all. Been at the park all morning playing football... Missed having a kickabout with my mates.

On a sadder note, 8 years ago today my cousin was killed near where I used to live...

Mixed emotions today.

Sorry to hear that dude, thoughts are with you

There was a chick on The Undateables who had learning difficulties that I'd definitely tap.

Uh...

Alright, alright.

Mine's Sarah Millican.

Sarah Millican drives me into such an intense state of arousal that I need to turn the TV off sometimes. It's the voice and the face that get me. I'm not even sure why.

I think it's the kink factor of imagining her in character whilst in bed.

Boy, kicked off a bit the other day.

Best female comedians for me are Katherine Ryan and Victoria Coren... both very hot too IMO. Very witty and cutting, don't usually make jokes based on being a female either.

Honestly, first week or two is building up your callouses on the fingers and being able to get your fingers in position. Started around mid-late Nov, I started doing decent around end of December. Now got quote a few songs around the 60-82% mark, doing much better but there is such a difference in those last 10-20 percentages. As difficulty wise the game tries to keep chords until last, so learning the chords and switching between them in an instant is going to take me years I think. You will see results soon, amazing game. Also you need to pick the right songs, some are a looot easier than others. I have been playing Paint it Black since the begging and poured hours and hours into it but can't break 50% whereas I get a new song and break that first time of trying.

Nirvana and Radiohead seem to be quite good to start with in terms of learning a recognisable riff, speed of the song and lower difficulty.

Was that the singer? Yeah, she was. My wife thinks I'm some kind of monster now. At least, more so than before.

I didn't see a dwarf. I didn't watch the whole thing.

I refuse to watch that, car crash TV.

I don't normally, I find it a bit exploitative. I was skipping through the channels and caught a glimpse of the learning difficulties lady and was a little enamoured. What can I say, I have a problem.

She's apparently in the second series of Utopia.

Oh, man! They're doing a second series? Amazing. I missed the last couple of episodes, though. I need to catch up!

Yeah, she's totally hot.

Hnnggg.

She did this really good gag about Ken Livingstone signing off his tweets with a "K". It's kind of hard to convey through text, it was all in the delivery. But yeah, she's great.

Is it-- is it immoral to sleep with a woman with learning difficulties? This is a question which Arrested Development first presented to me and, lo and behold, it presents itself again.

Edit: I saw Katherine Ryan before she was famous. Is she famous? Anyway, I saw her a while ago. A mere arm's reach away from me.

There's something about her that reminds me of someone else, but only as soon as I look away from here.

I'd say yes if you tricked them into it ("You've been poisoned and only this *zip* holds the antidote.").

Maturity, bitches.
I've never understood the term unusual crushes, but I guess that just means I probably crush on what people would usually consider unusual thus I can never think of one.

My favourite female stand up right now is Maria Bamford (you may have seen her in s4 of Arrested Development). I just listened oi her new stand up cd the other day and it's amazing, I've never seen a stand up other than bobcat goldthwait have such a dynamic vocal range.

This was funny. I liked her joke about credit card maths questions.

I know this feeling exactly, you think glancing back will jog your memory but it only confuses matters. She looks almost bland and homogenised she's so conventionally attractive, if that makes any sense.

Perhaps you find yourself excited by an old woman admonishing a three legged dog in an uncommon Nigerian dialect while handling rotting apricots, that would be an unusual crush.

thanks for the welcomes, it's good to be back, clearly my prolonged absence played havoc with the emotions of some.

on the matter of female comedians, I've never been able to pin down why it's that much more difficult to find a really good one.

Here are the questions I mentioned from my earlier post. I want to see what a potential audience is interested in (I'm asking these questions to a lot of people). Posting them here in case someone missed my earlier post.

1. What is your favourite music video and why?
2. What kind of music videos do you prefer (ones that tell stories, live performances, band/artist doing silly things etc.)?
3. How do you feel when a music video pauses the song during the video (for example, a story based one pauses the song to possibly detail something that just happened)?
4. Do you think that the video content should be based around the song or the song based around the video (for example I have an idea for a video, but I have no idea what song to choose so I listen to some songs to find one that will fit with the idea)?

Well I do know that I'm not a fan of a music video that disrupts the flow of the song. Having an intro and an end is ok, but to suddenly stop the song in the middle for a bit of a talk is just silly. I probably wouldn't mind an extended instrumental for a music video since the flow of the song has been effected, but a pause would definitely irritate.

I mean 9/10 I'm probably going to have the video in the background so I don't really care about the visuals after the first viewing.
