What is it with people quoting the wrong posts today?
Edit: that was for Mike but he fixed it. Lol.
Spolatee, I pretty much suck at CoD too. I basically just play Domination which I'm fairly good at. I like to be Johnny on the Spot running around all over the place, so I use all the mobility and stealth perks and go out as light as possible.
I dunno, I'm no expert but here are a few little pointers that I could offer (some of these are pretty obvious so sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs! It is your first CoD though so it might be useful):
- Try not to sprint round corners, it takes much longer to ADS after sprinting. Approach them ready to fire, then run if the coast is clear.
- Avoid going prone in tight quarters with multiple entry points, getting prone blocked is a sure fire way to get shot.
- Remember the bigger and therefore heavier scopes affect the speed that you ADS, try and use the smallest you can get away with for the map. This is obviously true of guns too, it's a waste of mobility bringing an assault rifle to a close quarters map IMO.
- Try and get into the habit of glancing at your mini-map whenever you hear gunfire, you can often get the jump on people if they're close.
- Swapping to your pistol is nearly always quicker than reloading, and is usually plenty to finish off your target.
- Try and run around the perimeter of the map rather than through the centre if you can, it's usually safer and it's often where those filthy campers reside.
- If you're alone taking a point in Domination, try and throw a flash grenade at one or two of the entry points and cover the remaining one to give you the best odds.
- Set up an anti-air class with a rocket launcher of some description, don't rely on your teammates to take down air support. As soon as you see some coming in, switch out your class and take it down ASAP, nothing more annoying than death from above.
I dunno, I guess that's it. Now go and cap some fools.
