SELLING
Chromecast - $27 shippedSOLD
- New and Sealed

Basic Ground Rules
1. Re-listing sales (aka: do not spam)
- The community here believes 150-200 posts is a good benchmark for waiting before re-listing something. Users have commented that some sellers repost their sales too often, making the thread feel cluttered with spam. This is unacceptable, since it's fair to say we're all annoyed when the same listings appear again and again on every page. We think 150 posts is a reasonable number to wait.
- Do not post "spacer" posts at the end of a page in an attempt to place your items at the top of the next page. Users monitor several pages back for items, so your post will be seen.
...
- Don't think adding new items to a list means you can bypass the 150-200 post benchmark. Also, never create a post to announce some sale, special, or discount to bypass the 150-200 post benchmark. A user's post should constitute just that - his or her post until you can post again. Update your original post with all relevant sales information. This thread operates under the assumption that members will follow the very few rules that we have. Respect those rules, and other users, by following them.
7. Eliminate Sold Items
- If you've completed a previous transaction, it should go without saying that all future listings remove that particular item. If a deal is still in process, you can still leave the item in your posts. However, as soon as the deal has been completed, you need to remove the item and take new pictures that reflect your current stock for all future posts. It's easier to post the same pictures and cross items out from existing lists, we know. But it doesn't keep the thread clean and spiffy. Think of your fellow traders.

Will accept PayPal (doesn't have to be friends/family). Haven't sold anything here, but have 100% positive feedback on ebay if needed. Can also do local pick-up in the Kansas City area.
No interest in scalping this game. My Amazon pre-order was delayed/back-ordered, so I ordered another copy from Best Buy's ebay site as a backup. Both copies arrived this week, so I'm selling the nicer one.
Can I give negative buyer feedback to MikeE21286? I was going to PM him for a good deal on the DS until I learned he was a liar. Does that count?
I don't understand the lack of restraint. I informed the seller about it. Just amend and move on. What's the purpose of having the sold item on nearly every page? It's not a picture of a ton of items, with the sold ones crossed out. I think those are fine. This is a post taking up more and more space on a page.Might want to check the rules, especially if you're going to be reposting your sales ad on a daily basis.
If you are going to repost on a daily basis, you could at least honor the 150 posts rule.
Trying to get "top post" on a new page doesn't mean it's ok to post early. Neither does editing your previous sales post and just dotting it to "blank" it out.
Same for continually posting items for sale that aren't available. What's the point of spamming the Chromecast ad if you don't have one to sell?
From the OP:
I technically did, though. He offered to buy and I offered to sell. I just revoked my offer when I found out he deserved negative feedback for his scheming.Errr I don't think you can leave feedback for someone you didn't start a deal with.

Just so everyone is clear, we aren't actually going to count this as Negative. While the situation, if true, is rather scummy, no actual transaction was entered into.
How do we deal with stuff like this though? I honestly don't know. For now, I think he's been shamed enough and I don't think many people will forget all this.
Are you calling out Amir0xThe way we should all deal with it is just to charge what you want for the item regardless of people's stories. This is just a forum, anyone could be lying their ass off to you.
Lots of people give stories about paying hospital bills or rent or whatever (which I bet are usually true), but in the end the question should just be is the price they are asking for the item fair to me or not? Is that what I want to pay for the item? That's all that should matter.
No thanks. There's a dozen other marketplaces you can buy/sell stuff if that's how you wanna do things. The way we should all deal with it is just to charge what you want for the item regardless of people's stories. This is just a forum, anyone could be lying their ass off to you.

I'll allow it.
