Personally, I'm cool with skill-based matchmaking, but I do agree that there should be an option for both - i.e. SBMM in ranked/comp matches. A lot of the complaints on Reddit are from kids who just want to stomp all day, but there should be an option/mode where feel you might just have a game here and there where you can go on an insane kill streak and get a nuke or something because you were head and shoulders above the others in that particular lobby.
That said, the SBMM is definitely working, as I'm fortunate to be consistently matched up with fellow scrubs and have been able to get better at my own pace. I'm seeing my K/D climb towards 1.0 being that I'm up against people at or around my own skill level. I feel like the level of competition has been just right for the most part, which helps my enjoyment of the game as a filthy casual.
Oh, and I also finished off the campaign - that was good stuff. It was an interesting story, presented well, and with good performances. The missions were fun, not overly long, and were presented with visual and aural splendor. I doubt I'll ever touch it again, and I'm not sure if MP will have legs for me since it's already starting to feel kind of "samey" to me, but I've been enjoying my time with this one. All in all, it's a fun game that's well put together. 8.265/10
