Well I ended up grabbing Doom for $24.99, Elder Scrolls for $39.99 (I know, I know, it's $35 at EB) and Life is Strange Limited Edition for $14.99 all at the Microsoft store oddly enough.

I just grabbed Titanfall 2 and Street Fighter V off of PSN using the 10% code, came to about 63$ for both - not bad! I also grabbed NBA 2K17 from Best Buy, can't wait to see it in 4K HDR.

Currently contemplating COD Legacy Edition for the remaster...
Yeah, COD is tempting just because it's patched for the Pro (with MWR obviously).

Crazy coincidence that I just booked a dentist appointment yesterday after 4 years without seeing a dentist.

I have 2 cavities at least just by looking.

How much are braces in Canada? I have no idea - nobody has told me I needed them, but just wondering.

Aren't they several thousand?

I think I have several cavities plus a chipped tooth. They told me one cavity developed under a previous filling.

I also have light gum disease as far as I know.

I try to brush, but keep putting it off and fall asleep without doing it a lot. Then I get up and go, "Oh, I want to have a Coke. No point in brushing beforehand."

I'm an idiot.

I have basic dental insurance through disability, but I don't know exactly what that covers and a lot of dentists won't take it because the government gips them.

I do the "I'm going to have coke, no point brushing" thing way too often.

Anyhow, when you say you have dental through disability do you mean the one ODSP provides? If so, I have that one and my dentist is really good with working around my coverage. I've had several root canals and fillings without being charged. They do charge for wisdom teeth (haven't had it done yet so I don't know the pricing), and I'm getting a procedure done in a few weeks which is going to cost ~$200. Highly doubt you'll be getting quoted thousands.

You'll want to get that chipped tooth fixed up ASAP though. Those can get real bad, and the procedure that I'm having done that I have to pay out of pocket for was because I didn't address the chipped tooth and a huge chunk eventually broke off, meaning I have to get some repairs done.

Cavities don't correlate to needing braces, but they're pricey. Several thousand dollars.

Yeah, that's true. It's basic dental.

When my Mom called our dentist a couple of years ago, they said they'd charge me 2008 or 2010 rates.

I am not a dentist (and not your dentist!), but there are some really basic things you can do right now to start improving your dental health even without going to the dentist (though you should!). If you can get in the habit of brushing regularly somehow, that would be a good start. Maybe just brush your teeth even if you do decide to have that Coke later, it won't hurt. Another thing you can do is get yourself an electric toothbrush. They don't have to be expensive; my dentist recommended one of these and Amazon sells them for under $20. When I first started going to the dentist after a lengthy hiatus, the first thing they said was to get an electric toothbrush, and it's really made a difference. Later you should think about adding flossing into your regime; that would also be a big improvement. That said, I've totally been lax in remembering to floss every day, so I get the battle to keep good habits.

None of that will fix your existing cavities, but it will help mitigate further issues.

Lucky duck, i was gonna try and grab doom this morning after I saw amazon weirdly only has the ps4 version at 24.99 and I want the bone version to share with friends.

Thanks for the tips, chrominance. Appreciate it.

I have an electric toothbrush and have for years. Oral B actually sent me a new one because I thought mine was defective. Turns out it wasn't, though -- the thing just makes a sound after you've been brushing for a while.

I was just using a manual one, though, because I preferred it. But I've switched.

I don't floss much at all because it hurts. I've been considering getting a water flosser.

Yes, that exact coverage.

Thank you for posting. I appreciate it. That makes me feel better.

I had a cavity there and I think it caused the bottom part of the tooth to break off.

Generally speaking, how's the availability on the New 3DS' today? My Dad's picking one up (probably from Wal-Mart) but won't get a chance to go in until tonight. Has it been easy to find in Canada or is it typical Nintendo?

I figured he could get that SM3DL bundle as an alternative if that's still around anywhere...

Typical Nintendo, WalMart is selling out quick although some that I called told me they are holding until tomorrow but I imagine those few stores will have lines

Someone here mentioned Japan had cheaper dentist fees, but I know a girl from Japan who said she paid like $5k or 6k (Canadian money) for braces... Sooo is it just braces that aren't cheaper?

Your teeth hurt when you floss because you have gum disease and they are inflamed. Keep flossing and eventually it won't hurt. I'm a dentist in Canada, and as hard is it is to believe, we are not here to take your money and rip you off. There are unfortunately a lot of shady dentists out there that work around maximizing your insurance and dental work is extremely expensive because the overhead is expensive.

Go do your check up now before things hurt. If you start to feel pain, your basic filling will be turning into a thousand dollar root canal or worse an extraction. If you're worried about your dentist, take some pictures of your x-rays and pm them to me and I'll gladly take a look at them and give you my opinion.

I believe it, orthodontia isn't commonly done in Japan (which is why crooked teeth are somewhat common there) and I think it's treated more like plastic surgery as opposed to a medical necessity like actual dental work.

Thanks. I assumed that was why they hurt and bled some. I did some research.

I appreciate the offer. I still need to find a new dental office to go to.

A local place would hold free dental days. One per year. I missed the first one because I didn't hear about it and family forgot to tell me they read about it. Then I missed the next one, because it was 'conveniently' the day after I noticed that chipped tooth. I Googled it when I woke up just to see if there was any news, but it had started two hours earlier and they wouldn't take me.

They'd fix one tooth for free.

I just hope my coverage will cover root canals like mentioned above. Hopefully I'm as lucky.

Well as a reference. Had braces when I was a teen. No clue how much that cost.

But I have some again since late February. The whole thing is costing 7k (2.5 is covered) as prep for a surgery I'm getting this summer.

No Pro deals for Black Friday... maybe Christmas? Else I'm waiting, don't see the point of buying one just to play FFXV, and Persona is delayed for another while.

There are a lot of scam resellers on Amazon lately so be very careful with new seller accounts. If their offers are too good to be true, they generally are. I got a Camelcamelcamel email this morning saying the Gunvolt double pack had dropped to 10 bucks and it was from a new seller with 1058 pages of products and zero feedback.

https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aag/main/r...9PU&isAmazonFulfilled=0&seller=A1ZUVLE7HSX6KD

Not the first time it has happened lately either.

If you think that's sketchy, there was a new seller (no feeback) on amazon.ca selling supposedly new Samsung KS8000 TVs for $750 CAD for the 49" and like 900-something CAD for the 55". That seller disappeared later that day and then turned up again the next day, then disappeared again.

Majora's Mask for Wii U virtual console is not showing a discount for me, despite owning it on Wii VC and every other game showing the correct discounted price. This a common problem?

And yeah... I guess I'm not getting braces, I don't have that kind of money just for cosmetics.

I believe it, orthodontia isn't commonly done in Japan (which is why crooked teeth are somewhat common there) and I think it's treated more like plastic surgery as opposed to a medical necessity like actual dental work.

I thought braces WERE largely a cosmetic thing? Like, no dentist has ever said that I should get braces for medical reasons, even though I could clearly use some teeth straightening. In that light, a couple of thousand dollars makes sense, given that it's not an essential treatment unless you have serious issues with the shape of your bite.

Is there any way to make Titanfall 2 cheaper on Origin? showing up at $53, I remember it being 40 something a couple of weeks back.

TITAN20 also, dont make the same mistake I did, they charge you tax if you have a Ontario postal code in paypal I guess.

Its really sketchy as Paypal said do you want to charge $XX.XX to your account?
and I said yes.
Then it goes through and goes back to the origin page and it said thank you for paying XX.XX + tax (it was like 4 or 5 dollars more than I "agreed" to pay).

I am too lazy to fight it and it is still a decent deal, it just pissed me off that they dont disclose the price it charges you before you agree to pay.

Was about to checkout with Paypal, thanks for the warning.

Definitely wasn't for cosmetics when I was a teen, and is only 20% cosmetics now, so that my face doesn't look like a duck post-surgery.

So is it still impossible to get Amazon to price-match itself. Wanted to get an 8 dollar refund for CoD, but they wouldn't budge and wanted me to re-order and return instead...

I had horrible customer service this week with them as well. Bought a $2000 laptop 5 days before the Watch Dogs 2 promo started. They told me to return it and rebuy it and then I could get Watch Dogs 2. I am pretty sure they would lose money on this with the shipping and whatnot. Oh well. There was also numerous shipping issues on the item and it was 2 weeks late, but that didnt help my cause.

I would do it since they offered me free return shipping, but since it's only 8 bucks, I don't know if I care that much. At least with the holidays it's an extended return period. Still, it's a really dumb policy.

Isn't there supposed to be more deals on Friday though?

Flash sale as well as Black friday sales are already up, so I'm guessing no.

Maybe on Monday for Cyber Monday?
Oh weird, I guess everyone is just putting stuff up today.

My favourite FPS multiplayer was MW2. If TF2's mutiplayer similar?
It is basically another Infinity Ward game in terms of feel. Of course the dynamics are different since it's not about killstreaks and there are Titans, which mean the maps are wider, but it's very much in the vein of MW2.

Cod Legacy edition for 79.99 on both Amazon and Bestbuy.

Bestbuy standard shipping is free and and faster (save like 4 bucks extra too if you're in Ontario) so I would recommend the bestbuy version.

Wishful thinking, but I'd really like Amazon or (Future Shop) Best Buy to turn around and ship FFXV sometime tonight. Long shot, but it has happened before. Would be great to have it for the week-end.

Meanwhile.. Microsoft Store and FedEx are both being idiots regarding my gf's laptop. It's been 36 hours since the shipping label was created. Microsoft says it left, while FedEx says they still don't have it.

I'm not usually one for buying added warranties on stuff, but I'm curious whether anyone has bought the Playstation Protection Plan (in general, or more specifically, for your Pro)?

I'm thinking about it, but I'm not sure whether it's worth the money (but $50 for some peace of mind isn't so bad).... and I also can't seem to find a link to terms that seem to actually address Canadian consumers... unless Canadians are covered under the same terms as the U.S. plan.

Anyone have any thoughts?
