Which system is missing? Espionage, religion, trade routes? It has all but one of the major game play systems from Brave New World, and introduces a couple besides. So in terms of core game play it should be comparable. Obviously it lacks the tons of great mods and doesn't yet have as many Civs as 5, but I think the general consensus is that the core game can compete with where vanilla 5 with expansions is now.
I know the game just released, but are there any good videos for players mostly new to Civ games? I have like 10 hours in Civ 5.

FilthyRobot is putting together some new player videos on his channel that are very good. He's a top tier kind of player but also voices his decision making really well. There are only three up for now but they cover a lot of the core game play decisions.

Sorry for shitty mobile links, still trying to at least appear like I'm working today.

Well, I think it's more I need to change all the pc, x3 phenom 720. It was running Stellaris so I wanted to try.Kind of surprised you thought it would work. The card is far below the min spec, and I had that card back when it came out in 2008
Seriously, you can get a newer card that will run Civ for less than £20 - shit I'm even selling a GTX 560 right now if you are in the UK for £30
After defeating about 10 units he decided to make peace so I said yeah I'll take the gold and spices and chocolate and I'll attack him afterwards. But it seems I can't attack and also can't declare war or enter his borders. Tell me it's a bug and not a feature.
Isn't that just the period of mandatory peace after a war is ended?
Dunno this is my first Civ that I get into. But surely it must have a backstaber feature somehow.
Is the tutorial REALLY good at explaining everything? Because i didn't know what the fuck i was doing in Civ V and i have always wanted to get into the Civ series but they always seem so intimidatingThe tutorial is made with new players in mind, so definitely play through that first.

You know, I actually showed pretty surprising restraint. Only played for 3 hours. But it was definitely hard to put it down.So what time was it when you finally resisted Just One More Turn? 😉
CIV 6 already beat CIV 5 in all time peak

If you want to attack right away, you need to end the war without any terms on both sides. Otherwise you have to wait before attacking again. That's how it used to work, anyway.

Wow.
Did civ 5 had preview streams on twitch, yt etc? I guess they helped a lot.

Twitch? In 2010? I don't think it even existed back then
Firaxis need a spell checker.
In the tutorial Captial is spelt "Capitol"
Another question - There doesnt seem to be any culture / science / happiness penalty for new cities. Anyone confirm if there is any negative for building a new city?

Production costs for settlers, builders and districts scale, so it's more that you need more and more hammers to generate new cities, and then those cities take way longer to come online as district costs increase.
You're also somewhat limited by luxury resources. Each copy you have hooked up provides 1 amenity to only 4 cities. So if you throw down a bunch of new cities without the luxuries available to provide happiness they will start to suffer penalties to growth and yields as theit population grows.
Thinking about getting this. Is it a huge improvement over Civ V (with all expansions)? I still play that every now and then, but if this game is a lot better I'll definitely switch to this.
They are only a problem for the first few turns, at least in my experience. Just build or buy a few slingers/warriors, attack their closest camp and they won't bother you that much.Played a few hours and man...I am fucking loving this version of Civ. So damn good.
Barbarians are pissing me off though. I'm not great at Civ so they're just completely stalling my plans in the games I've played. I've had to restart a couple games because they're such a nuisance.
Loading up the game towards the main menu is much faster than in V. Now I gotta found out how to get 4K DSR Nvidia working in full screen. Only works in windowed.
The tutorial is telling me to choose either warrior or settler and use the escort button, but I can't find any escort button and all buttons on the unit screen are greyed out.
Its the same with AMD virtual resolution.
