Fuck, that comic owns, even if I don't understand all of it. Especially the Anders Klimakks issues.

Somewhere, someone told me it was all a metaphor for a man dealing with the death of his cat and his shitty life (maybe it was on here, not sure), and I think that clicked with me. Ostensibly, it's about breaking down all of the filth and stories we fill our lives with to show what they truly are. It's a hell of a read, but it requires some deep drilling to get to the heart of it all.

I read up on Morrison's process for writing it and he definitely went down the darkest of porn wormholes for that shit. Dude said he got uncomfortably filthy.

Lois become Brainiac is quite the interesting turn of events. This is definitely not your typical Superman story. I don't think this is something they could have done in the Old 52

. Grayson was pretty great, dug the art and the story so far, will definitely keep reading this one.

World's Finest was so so, the art was not good this month. It lacked character, just generic and meh. Last month's issue definitely had the better art. Story pace seemed a little slow too,

I feel like this months cover was a mistake and is supposed to be next months cover.

Batman Eternal was legit good this week. "Heavy Metal" artist Jason Fabok returns this issue and kills it. There was a scene where Batman was jumping down on to the top of a building and he landed right in front of someone and you could feel and hear the impact of the landing with Batman looking like a bad-ass.

The story was crazy. Something I thought they would drag on just kinda ended. This was the end of Tynions arc and Ray Fawkes takes over now with "horror mode".

It's not a spoiler now because this all happened in Nightwing #30. She has dark skin yes but she is Sicillian officially.

Has the reaction been what you expected, and what are your thoughts on the landscape of diverse representations in comics today?

TS: It hasn’t been quite what I expected, and there does seem to be some confusions or assumptions I guess. She’s a dark skinned Italian woman. There’s already Helena Wayne, and I thought our Helena should be her own unique character. We’ll get more into her background and origin in the near future!

Dick gives her a bunch of shit because he thought she was dead, and she talks about having to fake her own death. So my guess is Helena Wayne happened to use a "dead" woman's name as one of her aliases.

Doomed started off really fast paced in it's story, and it's really slowed down over the last couple of issues. I hope it picks up again, it seemed to be humming right along, until this sudden stall.
