A conference room? At PlayStation? Surely you mean a Teams meeting.I'd love to be in the conference room where they discuss this game's day 1 performance, or Studios' financial projections after this.
Nah, Jim made it to the extraction point with a few suitcases of cash before the bomb dropped. The person who talked Sony into buying this studio right now:
The fact that Sony decided to buy this studio, based on this game, raises huge questions about their game citation going forward.
Seriously. What were they thinking…
Where's the "What's Concord?" option?Alright GAF, I didn't want to make a new thread for this poll, so I just made one on Strawpoll. Let's see it.
What are the 3 biggest reasons you DIDN'T you buy Concord?

What is your opinion? Vote now: Bad impressions (gameplay, systems, etc)., Already invested in another PVP shooter., DEI focus., Not into PVP or shooter games., Don't like Sony., Tristrawpoll.com
When you consider that 7k was an outright DOA for Lawbreakers, it's mind-blowing. Concord would need a 1000% Surge in CCU just match that abject level of failure. This is such a cataclysmic flop that I can hardly believe it.
We all knew it would flop but very few would predict a peak of less than 700 players on LAUNCH day.
It's like someone asked AI to make a gritty Steven Universe.
Seriously. What were they thinking…
And are going to sink? They committed to supporting it for how long? The budget, I mean, do we know how much money they sunk into this dumpster fire?
Well, Sony is still trying.
Pro tip: save these pics on your phone. If you ever find yourself getting an unwanted erection, these pics can make that embarrassing boner go away in an instant.

Russian collusion!Chinese review bombers did this
I think the reason could be rather simple; Sony was desperate for some DEI in their portfolio. Firewalk likely checked all the boxes as did their project. Sony signed them for the sake of diversity, nothing more. They had their GaaS game, and their diversity project, 2 flies. They already purchased Bungie and perhaps could let them work on a GaaS team shooter other than Destiny, but Concord was rather far along. They can deliver now.
The problem is that they, and many others at that, fail to see their audience doesn't fall for this shit. MCU is falling off a cliff for a reason too. They lose sight of their most important audience. The actual content buyers aren't these furries I assure you.
Didn't The last of us 2, Spiderman 2 fill that vapid void, tenfold?I think the reason could be rather simple; Sony was desperate for some DEI in their portfolio.
598 players.
It has already dropped below 600 players during prime time USA on a Friday.
