I dont think this thread will outlive the game. There's 1 guy back on Steam who wont go away.

The subreddit is still alive!

Doesnt make sense. But reading the comments it's a Bot thread, but someone at FW forgot to turn it off. lol

To be fair, everyone at the studio is probably fired already aside from director Ryan Ellis who somehow scored another job at Sony.

Could be a bot?

What makes it funny too is that Ellis already got approved for another job, while the rest of the studio seems in limbo. He's already got saved after the Titanic sunk, while the rest are floating with a life preserver still hoping to be saved.

No doubt what happened was the writing was on the wall months ago after the game got grilled even before beta test numbers came out. So the guy looked out for his own ass and was in negotiations with execs if he could stay employed and take another job after Concord bombs. He was already planned this months in advance.

Can you imagine the potentials of the videos that youtubers can make out of this game in the future?

“The Playstation game that Sony wants you to forget”
“ i am one of the less than 10 people who platinum this game”
“The best game you never played”
“What happen if you try to play this Concord disc?”
“This game deserves another chance”
“The lost history of Playstation 5”
“The rarest Playstation 5 game disc ever?”

The thread is still getting bumped. I think there are more threads and YouTube vids on Concord than the amount of dollars wasted on it. It's downfall has provided more hours of fun than most AAA games.

I hate how clickbaity and plausible this scenario is.

Reminds me of the articles you see a lot of these days that give you a 45 paragraph history of the world and then as a footnote mention the topic somewhere in the middle or bottom in passing.

The credit roll on this game lasted over 30 mins

The vid he is watching is at 50% speed so it's not an hour, but still, marvel movies dont have credits this long and they set up to next movie during them

This game was announced during the Xbox TGS showcase if i am not wrong. Seems like a good substitute for the Concord fanbase

Really miss the Sony of the PS1 and PS2 days. Totally different company now

Nintendo is slowly heading in that direction too unfortunately
Call me nuts, but during the PS1 days, one of my fav Sony first party games was Intelligent Qube. A quirky puzzle game with opera music. A big divergence compared to other Sony games I liked such as GT, Destruction Derby, their 3D sports polygonal sports games (I think it was '98 games),

What the hell was ET's budget for it to be considered a massive failure at 1.5mil sold?
The cartridges costed a lot of money. I don't know what were the prices but let's say at $5 a piece the loss because the of 3.5 million unsold cartridges it would be 17.5 million dollars in the 1980s. This happened after the similarly overproduced (and unsold) Pac-Man cartridges for the Atari 2600 in the previous year.

Fair. The licensing fees to use the ET IP also were 20-25mil, reportedly. I had no idea gaming had figures that high in the early 80's

That's why publishers/devs love digital distribution and PC these days.

That's why they want to abolish physical media on consoles... logistics can be tricky if you don't plan ahead accordingly.

Mother fuckers don't understand how like in 5 years people are look back at this game, Veilguard, Suicide Squad, and so many many others and wonder...

What the fuck was the AAA industry on? No, people will ponder what the fuck was going on with Game Devs and the industry.

Like it will be a legit curiosity how for so many years they made the stupid as fuck decisions and hemorrhaged millions if not billions on these ideas.

How they wasted and squandered opportunities to trend chase and go into some bizarro weird preachy realm of vanity politics. And investors let them do this.
