I'm surprised retailers outside the usa stock Xbox consoles or anything Xbox outside of controllers.

Console sales down the gutter, which will have the knock on effect of killing whatevers left of physical game sales and accessory sales.

If you think about it, it's funny that Sony is giving Xbox a couple of games. Only when they knew 100% the console is dead and in no way it will compete with them.

I really think MS should just stop the whole console thing. just release PCs / Portable PCs and stick the Xbox brand in it. or MS gaming. Just continue publishing games like you used to before you started making consoles.

The whole console space is dying anyway. Less and less people are buying consoles compared to prior generations, even for Sony and Nintendo.

MS was forced to enter the gaming console market because of Sony's PlayStation 2 (computer entertainment system). To MS, that was a threat, just like the Steam Deck/OS is to them now (and why they went into the handheld space).

With how consoles are performing, MS has nothing to worry about when it comes to consoles from Sony or Nintendo unless Sony went back again to the PS6 computer entertainment system that function as linux PC based under the TV ( which will never happen ).

End of an Era. Anyone buying the next Xbox console ( assuming it's not a fully Windows-customized PC ), then they need to check with the closest mental hospital. Because the Xbox platform by itself is just dead.

If the next Xbox is a fully custom PC ( that actually runs PC games ), then it's a different story and worth looking into it just like any pre-built PC, but with MS name on it.

The raising of prices and the ending of factory production was a soft discontinue of the product line

I expect Xbox will vanish from places like Best Buy soon too, probably by end of year as last supply sells through

Does Cosco sell any prebuilt PC's?
Any good ones?
I bought my prebuilt PC from Costco last year, got a really good deal on it because it was the floor model at my local shop. Was a little worried about it not working (people fucking with it on display) but it's been working flawlessly.

Makes me wonder if this is "THE" reason Sony put a game like Helldivers 2 on Xbox last month.

adamsapple adamsapple imagine how much your console will appreciate in value when no one is selling them anymore!
My series X broke about a year or so ago. I figured I'd wait a while, and eventually the prices would go down, and I'd be able to afford a new one.

Boy do I have egg on my face.

Buying prebuilts, GROSS.

They're not even still selling the prepaid cards? That's crazy.
Agree! I mean, yes they could be getting out of traditional console hardware niche, but all the time they state they are an ecosystem, so of course prepaid cards are important for that, since their biggest strenght it´s gamepass...or isn´t?

Also no controllers or some peripherals which can work also on PC?

This is weird, also Xbox Series and even One are still getting some AAA multi plattform games, like FIFA 26, the upcoming Black Ops 7, and Series got recently Helldivers 2 and Wukong, it´s getting Silent Hill F as we speak, the rumors of Horizon....

Not sure exactly what is going on...

It´s there others retailers doing the same on US or worldwide?
