I wouldn't think much of it. My grocery store has Outback Steakhouse and Applebee's gift cards still. If there aren't gift cards its likely because MS is rebranding.pulling the gift cards too kinda sucks
It´s there others retailers doing the same on US or worldwide?
Every windows pc is a prebuilt pc with MS name on it. MS releases an Xbox branded pc and people are still only going to buy steam games through it.If you think about it, it's funny that Sony is giving Xbox a couple of games. Only when they knew 100% the console is dead and in no way it will compete with them.
I really think MS should just stop the whole console thing. just release PCs / Portable PCs and stick the Xbox brand in it. or MS gaming. Just continue publishing games like you used to before you started making consoles.
The whole console space is dying anyway. Less and less people are buying consoles compared to prior generations, even for Sony and Nintendo.
MS was forced to enter the gaming console market because of Sony's PlayStation 2 (computer entertainment system). To MS, that was a threat, just like the Steam Deck/OS is to them now (and why they went into the handheld space).
With how consoles are performing, MS has nothing to worry about when it comes to consoles from Sony or Nintendo unless Sony went back again to the PS6 computer entertainment system that function as linux PC based under the TV ( which will never happen ).
End of an Era. Anyone buying the next Xbox console ( assuming it's not a fully Windows-customized PC ), then they need to check with the closest mental hospital. Because the Xbox platform by itself is just dead.
If the next Xbox is a fully custom PC ( that actually runs PC games ), then it's a different story and worth looking into it just like any pre-built PC, but with MS name on it.
Yes, the ones I go to on a regular basis (I have two close to me) had them last week.Does Cosco sell any prebuilt PC's?
Any good ones?
I think it was the Xboxera podcast that was saying that nearly all the games released this month had no Xbox review code.![]()
The image on the left is emblematic
Digital Foundry just said that as well.I think it was the Xboxera podcast that was saying that nearly all the games released this month had no Xbox review code.

They've switched to coke products.Pepsi.
Also, why would you buy a gift card at fucking Costco when you can just click a button on Microsoft's site to buy one?
Have you never given a gift card to someone as a gift? It's a thing. Costco will run deals on gift cards, too.The whole draw of Xbox is Play Anywhere so I don't see the point of selling physical disks that are just links to an installer anyway.

Philanal. He's fine. He's been hit by, he's been struck by. A smooth Philinal.
since when? The whole draw of Xbox is Play Anywhere
Play anywhere. Except on xbox hardwaresince when?
Since it was a thing? I use it all the time. Play on the TV, play on the PC and pick up where I left off, or vice versa. Why wouldn't I?since when?
Philanal.
You can gift cards online too…am I in a 90s time warp right now or something?Have you never given a gift card to someone as a gift? It's a thing. Costco will run deals on gift cards, too.
the good news? at least they held off till the price of eggs went down...My series X broke about a year or so ago. I figured I'd wait a while, and eventually the prices would go down, and I'd be able to afford a new one.
Boy do I have egg on my face.
For you then, because since its introduction, Xbox has been declining.Since it was a thing? I use it all the time. Play on the TV, play on the PC and pick up where I left off, or vice versa. Why wouldn't I?
Certainly not in features and conveniences, so I have no complaintsFor you then, because since its introduction, Xbox has been declining.![]()
For real!? I was there just recently too.MyThey've switched to coke products.
I know at BJ's you can get a $50 dollar Steam Card for $49 (or used to, haven't checked in a while). Doesn't sound like much, but better than nothing. The whole draw of Xbox is Play Anywhere so I don't see the point of selling physical disks that are just links to an installer anyway.

yeah, but you are not the marketCertainly not in features and conveniences, so I have no complaints.
What's that?
Neither are you so not sure what your point isyeah, but you are not the market![]()
The market is obviously responding to the decline of xbox. That's the point. You think costco did this for any other reason?Neither are you so not sure what your point is.

I'm not the one projecting my preferences onto the entire markett... that's youNeither are you so not sure what your point is.
Physical media though. I mean, I buy 4K UHD movies on physical because you actually get a bitrate improvement from them. But I can't expect to find them at Costco afaik. The market is obviously responding to the decline of xbox. That's the point. You think costco did this for any other reason?

Arrogant Sony has gone too far. Now they're playing the exclusives game with retailers as well? How much money did Sony pay Costco to not sell XBox stuff anymore??
The hardware is disappearing from store shelves as well. I can buy a Switch or PlayStation, or pc at Costco or Walmart. You can't do that with xbox anymore.Physical media though. Video games on disk have no real benefit other than resale, which actually harms profits lol. Video games are ultimately a digital medium.
