So, not nearly enough to break even, even though the game was fairly cheap to develop.
It's only been a few days since release though so I think it's too soon to worry about it.
Let's hope it keeps steadily selling until it turns a profit.

There is too much competition this year. So many good games. FOMO does not matter anymore. What matters is long legs in sale.

Silksong annihilated this game on all platforms

I wanna say the two games are so different that there would be incredibly little overlap in terms of crowd interest.

This isn't a Silent Hill 2 and these numbers seem to be more in-line with Bloober's in-house projects like Medium.

Silksong is a unique case because of organic, internet-wide hype. It had all the mindshare. I imagine a lot of Cronos fence sitters looked at the price difference and went with SS. They can grab Cronos on sale later.

Edit: over 100k reviews for Silksong on Steam after a few days. Total anomaly.

Deserves way more, especially when you consider its Bloobers first original IP game with combat etc, They did a really great job, cant wait for SH 1 remake now.
Story was great, atmosphere was fantastic. Would have liked them to leant a bit more into the body horror aspect, the enemies arent that scary outside of jump scare moments.

It's not Halloween season yet. I bought it at launch to support the developers, but I'm not going to play it until October. I presume most people are waiting for October to grab it cheaper.

Hell is us is getting the short end of the stick, numbers are abysmal.
Like I said in the review thread, there's too many games that take priority over Hell is Us for me. Don't even have time for the demo.

I'm sure it's the same for others with Cronos. Kind of a perfect shitstorm.

The last day of September is Final Fantasy Tactics and MK Kollection. So it's a choice between those assuming you aren't busy with one of the other hundred games that released this month.

I find kinda ironic that we are talking about silksong stealing copies when the real juggernaut of september is bl4...

Just feel like we spent most of the generation complaining about the lack of games and now the industry is trolling us lol.

"Alright motherfuckers, here's all the games"

Not really surprised, sadly. Silksong pretty much massacred the competition and with how quickly it was released after the date reveal there was no way to abort a marketing campaign running for several months,

Hell is Us flop wouldn't surprise me even without Hollow Knight. The game didn't get any promotion.

New releases are very front-loaded. Cronos could do better over time like Alien Isolation, but it's no guarantee. The game is currently tumbling down the Steam top sellers list. Not looking good sadly.

True, but the game released literally 3 days ago :messenger_tears_of_joy:. We are still in the "front-loaded" period.

Yeah, its crazy that two amazing games are most probably gonna flop because of Silksong man, its unfair

I really hope it will sell better on the long run, this deserves a lot more. People wonder why EA doesnt want more dead space, here is why

Incredible game so far. One of the best new IPs and survival horror games I played in a good while. I hope it sells much more. Should be a million seller at least.
