Cronos: The New Dawn sold 200k copies at launch.

I think with Dead Space Remake we got a combination of two factors - the remake probably cost a lot of money (because of high labor costs in Canada) and EA was still expecting it will sell millions of copies just like the new RE remakes. Many people didn't see the differences at first glance other than the graphics, you had to actually play the new version to appreciate things like a brand new system of travelling between areas and being able to return to them.
Dead Space Remake is incredibly good and had a ton of work done under the hood like you said. It's comical that they resurrected the franchise with a remake only to kill it again when said remake didn't do RE2 Remake numbers. They're delusional about the genre outside of RE. That franchise sells like hot cakes, not the genre. Not when you need 5mil copies, or whatever, minimum to even keep a franchise running.

I still consider this one of the big gaming injustices as of late. If they would've been handed the keys to a new Dead Space title, goddamn. They understood and fine tuned every tiny detail of that formula to perfection.

What would you want in an easy mode?
In my ideal easy mode, I'd love to have unlimited inventory slots, easier to kill enemies, take less damage, guided navigation to next objective, but that's just my ideal one, I can see how it goes against the vision of what the devs wanted to implement.

You're essentially asking for an action adventure game with horror aesthetics. Part of what makes a survival horror game are the limited resources, which adds a layer of stress in terms of the choices you make in given situations. You stop feeling vulnerable and lose the fear when you have an abundance of resources, because the challenges you face become tedious. The Last of Us 2 has lot of accessibility features, it is more of an action adventure with survival horror elements, that's as close to survival horror you'll get in your ideal easy mode.

All that said, Cronos isn't even very difficult. Most people will have different experiences depending on how they approach the game, with what items they prioritise in carrying and what they invest their resources in to upgrade.

I hope you never have any influence on game devs visions. A mode like this would make the game a complete joke.

Seems very low after all that good press Bloobler got with Silent Hill 2 Remake. Such a bummer because I'm hearing good things about it.
Yep, I figured the cred they earned with Silent Hill 2 would translate to more sales. Maybe people just don't know it's the same studio.

Word of mouth is very positive so that should help over time.

Two day sales numbers. Seems reasonable given the target demographic and that it released on the weekend when everyone, even their parents, is playing Silksong.
