“Time to grab the lizard and scurry out of here.”

“Hope you’re ready to bust ass out of this fascist playground.”

Haha yes I love the writing in this!

And that flashy art design.

I was told there'd be bugs and glitches all over the place, maybe I'm so far lucky to only have had one or the PRO version is more optimized than ps4 and the
Hey all you gorgeous bastardettes and bastards. It has been some time since I dusted off this account.

I hope you all enjoy the ever-living hell out of this game and get some old-fashioned ENTHUSIASM up in here.

I'll be jumping in shortly. Can't wait to have some fun with you all.
Rpg division?

after playing this game myself...some of those reviewers were definitely trying to haven an agenda against the game.

game has WAAAAY better gunplay than fallout, on their first try...and they acted like that wasn't a big deal

I don't doubt reviewers have agendas, but "better than Fallout" is a pretty low bar. I don't think anyone had expectations for DOOM or Destiny-levels of gunplay, but I'd personally like a few degrees above "better than Fallout."

Maybe it’s just me, but coming from The Witcher 3, my expectations for the combat were very low, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised so far.

How the fuck did these guys go from the barely interactive open world of The Witcher 3 to this? It's crazy to me that it's the same developer.
People said this going from Witcher 2 to 3, and from Witcher 1 to 2 as well.

The answer is straightforward: They make successful games and invest everything into the next one. They don't diversify, they don't open a bunch of studios around the world, they just make sure every game is bigger and better than the last.

Ah that's fair. I guess I'm one of the "lucky" ones in that I really didn't mind the combat in W3. It was like a slightly squishy, worse version of Dark Souls with a large margin of error for hit-detection and ... to be honest that was alright for me in such a huge game. Hope I feel the same for Cyberpunk.

For anyone here that can’t play the game, or wants something on in the background for added effect you can watch the New Wave sci fi movie “Liquid Sky” on youtube rn:

Played for a few hours. Don't know what to think. Sometimes it looks next gen. Other times it looks ugly as fuck.
Performance overall is good. 3080, 1440p. Usually above 60 fps, but it drops to high 40s in some more busy areas.

I disabled the camera shaking effects and controller camera acceleration. I hate that shit. Why is it on by default??

I created a cute chick with a feminine dick. Am I a transphobe?

Gotta keep it real, Stadia performance is not bad as I expected. It has two modes one for quality and the other is frame-rates. I got it on there only because I can just imagine how bad the performance is on the Series S.

As a freshly banned ResetERA member, yes, you are a 'phobe. You will now be docked 12 demerits and 15 transphobia points. The real question is about the term "feminine dick" but we already have enough evidence to proclaim you an undesirable.

but this isn't a fps only type game. the game to compare it to is first person rpg's. we give fallout or outworlds a fucking pass, elder scrolls a fucking pass. and when this first person rpg OBLITERATES that, we act like it's supposed to be DOOM? when all doom does is combat (i love doom eternal btw)? are we fucking stupid now?

or is cyberpunk like the hot girl we try to take down a few notches, and fallout is like the donald trump where you can get away with more when you're...less.

the ign review even ripped on the melee which is fucking better or at least on par with any of the melee from all the other first person rpg's.

this is totally a game being ripped for being too good at shit lol it's the hot girl that everyone wants to take down a few notches, while elevating the nerd.

I'm gonna start over when I get home tonight. The character I created looks way to boring in hindsight. Gonna make myself a real crazy cyberpunk. Some crazy hairstyle and a flashy look. Will go for a brute build my first run. Just shoot everybody and everything I want to.

This is a stupidly-good analogy so thank you for that. To be fair, I can't play it until tomorrow but this is, in fact, the best possible internet review anyone could have hoped for. Well done.

What difficulty are people playing at?
I chose the second hardest incase it ended up being a GOW "18 situation where the hardest difficulty is impossible and unchangable. Seems to be just about perfect and leaves me with greater incentive for the next playthrough, probably right after the first if it's as, good a game as it looks. Depending on how much I want to engage in my first through it could be a week, two or possibly three. I might intentionally ignore things to leave them for the second time through and play an organic path, B line the story or IDEK yet, I might do everything open to me.

The funny thing is this is the kind of game they should embrace. It lets you make a trans character from the get go, and in the city itself sexuality is so ambiguous, that I’m afraid of the romance options because the hot girl might have a bigger cock than I do.

If they wanted something close to what the future they are looking for looks like, Night City is it.

They get upset when they aren’t represented, and then get upset when they are. There is really no winning.

I kind of feel that way too. I made my guy a normal looking guy, but looking at everyone else on the street, I realize maybe I could have jacked it up a bit.

Im way too normal in this city of wierdos.

I thought I was crazy when I started seeing gaming websites call it biased, transphobic, etc. But, I kept thinking, this is one of the very few games where you're actually allowed to play as a trans character - per the character creator! This would've taken a mod in Skyrim, I thought. But, not only is a game developed in a rather conservative corner of Europe allowing you to go that route, its being derided for it! This is all very strange. I absolutely understand how condescending the choice of tying a voice to a body can seem to people in a transitional period, but can't these men and women at CDPR get a few brownie points just for attempting it in the first place? This is like asking for socialism to have just "a bit more leeway" in McCarthy-era America. Its pretty neat they pulled it off in the first place.

Also, a kind shout-out to Kotaku Editor Riley MacLeod who wrote as much as I did only with more aplomb. Nicely said. He seems like such a good person and I do recommend his insights into a topic fraught with lunacy.

Yeah the game is super anything-goes, but I guess the argument is that it's not sensitive to any of it. But like, of course it's not it's Cyberpunk, not Star Trek, everything is commercialized and sexualized and exploitive, that's kind of the point.

Makes sense, that might pay off , I thought of doing the same just to avoid loading times after death and if it's too easy you can always bump it up. One thing about TW3, the harder you made the game the better it was for cause you had to delve into all the systems, explore, loot, do contracts etc and prepare like a Witcher. I'm hoping that is the case with this one.

lol thanks

sometimes i just feel like people don't want this game to shit on everyone else lol

like gamers want to have a fucking participation reward for every game...so they have to mute some of cyberpunks shit.

I can understand if this was 2007, when you had bioshock, mass effect, half life episode 2, portal, halo 3, modern warfare 1, super mario galaxy all release in the same year and everyone had their own hint of ambition

but this year? these past few years? nah son, this is pretty much the best you all have gotten in a WHILE.

there's a part of me that wants to say some real hyperbolic shit...you ready?

what are these masterpieces you guys are playing that's shitting on cyberpunk right now?

AC valhalla?

watchdogs?

miles morales? (which i even like)

Demon Souls?

I like two of those games, but I know those are gamey games at the end of the day that'll see another release in a year. not THAT ambitious.

the industry needs to start acknowledging when something is shitting on everyone else again lol lately they dont wanna do that. and it hurts the industry because you aren't defining a BAR. this is a BAR. make EVERYONE else reach it.

I mean, add DOOM Eternal to that list, but yes. It needs to be said. I remember when Skyrim just shat on everything that was released and it was a "big deal." It'd be nice to see Cyberpunk be a "big deal" tomorrow night. Right, Geoff?

Got to head to sleep and I don’t want to! This game is so fun to play and experience. Played an hour and a half straight and I have to stop but I’m so thrilled with this game.

Thankfully I have Friday and Monday off so I just know I’m going to get a lot out of this game this weekend!

Yeah, that's what I thought. Everyone is super over the top and very very unique and I'm just a short haired regular dude . This is going to change :goog_cool: . Tatoos, crazy hairstyle, nail polish and a big fat cock! Gonna take a deep dive into night city.

Cores, shaders and BIOS oh my!
Just noticed the moment you look away or so all random npc models switch around to diff variations, lol wut, (non interactive) vendors and djs and shit included which is really jarring since you notice a diff dude was at the stall just a second ago and such, or specific folks sitting on a bench etc.

The thing is, they are so cognitively dissonant that they don't even realize they are moral authoritarions (like the hardcore Christians before they mellowed out or present day West baptist church) and just as fascist in idealogy when you strip away semantics as the Nazi's were. I'm not surprised they can't see that this is a good thing for Trans people but then they wouldn't have something really popular to scream at for attention, the trans community will never get what they want because these loud people at the front don't want anything other than loud, angry attention.

lol i didn't add doom eternal bc I didn't want to disrespect it like that xD

literally one of, if not the best pure action shooter I have ever played.

What kind of sensitivity are they supposed to have to it?

In 50 years from now IRL people are going to have the same response thanks to 40 years of Twitter.

and im annoyed bc im a black guy, and you know how much I could bitch about every stereotypical black character in a game!? lmao How if cyberpunk had a black chick on the cover of it it'd probably get less sales? LMAO

I bet the majority of those reset motherfuckers played fucking san andreas: stereotypical as fuck

i bet the majority of those reset motherfuckers played gears of war and loved Cole train: stereotypical AF

I bet the majority of the motherfuckers played bayonetta, where the token black dude was stereotypical as fuck.

that's just what i could think of right now, feel free to point out more.

I would love to make this point in that forum but I'd get fucking banned with a quickness lol

but fuck those kids, they only notice that shit that affects them.

The thing is that they are getting what they want (full acceptance) but as they get it it makes them less and less different.

Soon they will have nothing left to fight for, because honestly nobody gives a shit about what anyone else is doing.

People will fuck who they want to fuck and the people fucking them don’t give a shit if they have a massive dong or a hallway sized anus.

Maybe that is what offends them the most, the day they are normal and have nothing left to fight for.

...Well now I see why Console versions were hidden from the media. Played a little over an hour on the Series X (not much effect since its B/C). No bugs yet in that short time span but the textures are Ooof.

Looks like PC graphically is reigning supreme.

Not saying you at all. I'm genuinely curious as to why there's a comparison from The Witcher 3 versus this game from so many places. Completely different games / styles. Even if they're RPGs.
