Nah, Bend's Twitter often posts about Days Gone or even from time to time about previous Bend games.

I have my doubts...I don't think Sony is up for this game.

Listening to the guys who created the game you can tell how pissed they still are at Sony over this.

The guys who created the game always had good words for Sony, who according to them always were very supportive with Days Gone, even with its reviews (it had very good sales, more than all previous Bend games combined).

They were pissed off with the Bend studio manager, who is the one who blocked them to send Sony a Days Gone 2 pitch. Sony never received a Days Gone 2 pitch so never could reject it.

Sony greenlighted a Days Gone PC port, a Days Gone movie and the first game pitch that Bend sent them after Days Gone: the new IP that Bend is making right now.

Day 1!

I mean day 3, need to check the performance of the game.

If so it could mean drastic changes in the game to keep up with Sony modern audiences policies.

The fuck you're talking about? I don't like when IPs change their main protagonist, funnily enough, it's always male -> female and it's becoming a trend. Not even mentioning how rare it is these days when a New protagonist is a straight white male. I'm free to express my discontent.

I don't give a flying fuck WHO the lead is so long as we get a sequel.

A second game that fixed the first game's shortcomings would easily be my GOTY.

Bend's next game/current project is confirmed to be a new IP, an open world game using as base Days Gone gameplay mechanics which started to be developed a couple years ago so will take years to be announced. Their curent project isn't a Days Gone or Syphon Filter game. Maybe after this new IP they may do a Days Gone sequel or a Syphon Filter game, who knows, but as of now they are working on a new IP.

This tweet is about PlayStation's Playmakers marketing campaign, where they use celebrities from cinema, tv shows, music or sports to promote their console or games. In this case that woman -who I assume may be known in the USA- riding the Days Gone bike. That's all.

Not sure I want Days Gone 2 in current year with how the studio was PRing how inclusive and progressive they are.

The first one was pretty progressive for a post-apoc 1%er biker universe which made all the ideological bigots show their ass across their previews, reviews and social media sphere. You can tell who did and did not play the game.. I can only imagine the clownery they would invoke without some of the more grounded in reality studio heads and dozens of devs that left during the original upheaval.

But you're right. The developers really need to stick to reality where a single man can mow down 500 zombies charging at top speed at him without him getting completely overrun since apparently he's carrying that much guns, ammo, and explosives to kill them all without all that shit weighing him down at all. Totally realistic, after all he was a veteran, and I'm sure if somebody walks up to a veteran and asks them what it's like to be exactly like an untouchable action hero who can mow down hundreds with barely any risk to themselves, that that veteran won't look at that person like they're a fucking idiot and tell them to get a dose of reality and virtually all action movies are extremely unrealistic.

Also, we need a piss/shit meter in the sequel that the player can empty by having Deacon pause to piss and take a shit. In the first game, like what, is Deacon's bladder and colon just magically erasing everything inside it? Immersion totally broken! Hell, come to think of it, he barely eats anything! Is he a robot?!

Finally, let's take the zombies out of the game. There's no scientific proof zombies can be a thing, so my immersion is totally broken for most of the game. Keep it to just human enemies, yes it'll make enemies far less varied, but goddamn it, people, IMMERSION!!!

Why is that explanation nonsensical? Even with heightened reality, Uncharted world has men and women in it, modelled after their real world counterpart. Given that it's not stated anywhere that in Uncharted's universe women are stronger than men and there's no verifiable sign of this in their universe model: women still have smaller muscles than men, they are smaller, shorter, slower, etc.

So, men are stronger than women in Uncharted, no sign to the opposite. It's just this one "stronk woman STRooNK!!!" that just somehow has the strength and the speed of a superfighter while every other single woman in that universe mirrors our own. It sticks out precisely because of how stupid it is, it is impossible, so it is immersion breaking. It's an attempt at washing away both the presented fiction and also actual reality, that's why it's so jarring. I was laughing at the stupidity of it all to be honest, but it worried me because it was a sign something was off with Naughty Dog.

I don't think it is true, it is a fact. At a similar level of training and fitness, any man will beat every single woman. This have been proven multiple times.

1. The US female national soccer team was beat by a group of 15 year old kids. We are talking about the absolute best women's team of all time, and was beat by kids that never made it to a top 5 league. At 15.

2. Serena and Venus Williams, the most dominant female tennis players of all time played a match against a man ranked around 150, that smoked and had a beer before meeting them. He destroyed them.

Ok, those are famous examples and they involve fit people. What about a fit woman against a regular man? A policewoman would qualify as one, right?

3. Military and police academies lower physical requirements for women because they can't fulfill them.

Want to see some adhoc examples? Well, you have your pick of twitter videos of female police officers that simply can't restrain a male suspect and get overpowered no matter what they do.

The difference really is vast. The average guy that never lifts will destroy 95% of women in strength. There's a bit of an overlap where a very well trained woman can take down one of the weaker men.

Maybe you speak from ignorance and don't know this, but this is why a character like Nadine takes me out of the experience. It's so incredibly stupid.

I'd love for a Days Gone 2. I'd be disappointed with a sequel that didn't have Deacon as the main character too. He's presumably the only person aware of the evolution of the virus that isn't in some type of quarantine zone. Still, this probably isn't really happening.
