The fact that Ann Nocenti lasted as long on Catwoman as she did makes me doubt DC cares about this.

Probably DC took his pitch as something new and exciting only to find out a few months later that everything has to be close to the Status Quo of the what's going on in the TV and Movie universe. So in the case of Aquaman they rolled it back considering the Johns/Parker run is going to be heavy influence on the movie AC and already has been on the animated universe stuff.

Bring back the Hal Jordan as Parallax who is revealed to be the one trying to alter and change the universe frequently so things are the way he wants with the "legends" and "icons" being front and center. He's the BEST GL EVAH and all his friends are heroes again like Barry and it's as he wishes it. Only the Universe hates a paradox so fights these alterations creating differences in what Hal is trying to do, Hal being stubborn keeps trying to fight these changes and that creates more alterations as he battles the universe for control of what's what until the heroes realize hey they got to stop him because he actually did in the end win before. Rebirth was just the start, making everyone believe a silly space bug had infected him was his way of getting absolution and fooling everyone.

He's only ever interesting as a villain.

In think you'll be a little happy if you read Green Lantern.

I really don't mind reboots, I just wish Marvel and DC have the guts to go all the way instead of going half-ass about it like "Everything new! Except some Batman books! And we're still going to make past reference to Crisis on Infinite Earth and Infinite Crisis!" Just go ahead and kill the entire universes.

Steph has been back for awhile now hasn't she? She was just in a few issues of Batgirl and I'm pretty sure she was in that weekly Batman book that ran in 2014-15 as well.

Yup. Brought back for Eternal, cropped up in Batgirl, Catwoman, and a few other places. She was in B&R Eternal too, but she hasn't shown up in a bit.

What's Wally even doing right now? I have no idea what his role in the New 52 is. Last I checked he was from an alternate timeline?

While fighting off an alternate Earth Superman.

Lol well to start he's an angsty black teen 😭. But he got over that. Then in the future flash arc future adult Wally came back to beat the breaks off of future Barry( who had been trained by Batman, deathstroke and lady Shiva) so pretty much styling on Barry like always.

I bet silly things never ever ever ever happened to other DC super heroes.

I'm not defending Hal damnit

What's taking dc so long to reveal this. There should be a law that makes it so teasers have to be expanded upon within so many days :(.

This guy NEEDS to comeback in a better role.

My vote will always go for him being brought in as lacking direction and trying to figure out what he stands for and for either Luthor or Waller to grab him and use him as a deterrent for Superman due to his ability to take a hit from him and produce red sunlight. Considering he KO-ed Superboy in one shot and all his energy powers he's a major tool for a writer to play with. He's like Green Lantern meets Dr Light, Meets Living Laser, meets Captain Atom. He's still unwritten in his convictions so why not make him into a neat side point for one of those two as someone on the outside who sees the collateral and potential damage Superheroes causing as a threat who stands by either Luthor or Waller as a way to keep the capes in line and out of affairs.

Him and about 20 other underused, underpushed DC characters, not counting the Legion of Superheroes.

Won't happen though, as long as characters like Spider-Gwen or Gwenpool is outselling Green Lantern, Flash, all DC is gonna do is DC...go back to their safe Batman comics.

OUT OF HIS JURISDICTION!
IT'S JUSTICE LEAGUE. IT HAS ALL OF THE JURISDICTIONS.
Batman needed to learn his damn place, under Hal's boot.
Their both terrible
In Hal's fairness, listening to Guy wasn't the worst idea, since Guy was right about Batman running the whole thing.

Score
Okay, Superman has a new power more with the times in today's issue.

Check out the spoilers if you want.

Amazing new superpower
wat
It's kind of amazing. DC can make some amazing variants, but they trade that off by also having a lot of the worst. To be fair, every now and again Marvel like to remind us all that they're capable of shitty variants as well.
Good god I forgot about those.

I bet it gets revealed next week since May solicits will be the week after

Yeah seems like the last chance if we don't get it this week.

What all are you hoping to see? Even crazy shit that probably won't ever happen.

I'd like to see John's exit Justice League and do both a Black Adam and Shazam series that interweaves at certain points and makes up a larger story. Gary Frank stays on Shazam and Reis on Black Adam. Or Tomasi on Black Adam, I liked his Dark Age mini series. Still could be possible, Johns hinted at a secret project with him and Gary Frank, this was when Batman E1 was already announced.

The return of the JSA. This seems a given at this point. I'm guessing this is Johns/Sciver's project.

LOSH returns in some fashion. I'd like to see what Hickman could do, given his interest in the IP.

Giffen tries his hand at plastic man. Or a new version of JLI with him in it.

Teen Titans with a similar lineup to the one pitched before flashpoint.

A Guy Gardner book, either as a Red Lantern or otherwise. I'd love to see Soule return but that's not happening.

A Flash ongoing with Wally exploring the multiverse, trying to find his way back home. Bonus points if Morrison writes it.

Rucka returns to write Wonder Woman.

Action comics becomes detached from prime earth, having arcs that feature different Supermans from different earths for however long the current writer desires. Waid writes the opening run.

Tom King on GL
Steve Orlando on The Authority and Shazam
Giffen/DeMatteis/Kolins on JL3002
Renae de Liz on Wonder Woman
A Calvin Ellis/President Superman book
