NOOOOOOOOOOOO thank you. Let's keep him on books that deserve him, yeah?

Fuck Stormwatch.

I love the concept of Stormwatch (Authority for DC). King has the semi-espionage feel to make it work.

Mofos got no respect for Jackson King.

I hate the concept of Stormwatch/The Authority. "Like the Justice League, but HARDER! Willing to do what the so-called "heroes" won't! The REAL protectors!"

It's a weakass 90's attempt at a JL deconstruction. Nah son.

Nah.

Tom King GL & Snyder JL are both things I want to see.

I was looking back at Waid's AMA and it seems like him writing for DC would be a decision on DC's part.

Also like seeing Fate get a series. I think Levitz preview issue had a charm to it but I wanted something less down to earth.

I figured there must have been some kind of reconciliation since they're releasing new collections of his Flash run starting this year. This is a good year for DC's back catalog - Waid and Johns Wally Flash runs, Rucka Wonder Woman and Checkmate.

Give Lobdell a Bunker solo book. Only he knows how to write that character.

Johns on JSA
Jeff Parker back on Aquaman
Hickman on New Gods
Tom King on GL
Steve Orlando on The Authority and Shazam
Giffen/DeMatteis/Kolins on JL3002
Renae de Liz on Wonder Woman
A Calvin Ellis/President Superman book

I love all of this, but for the love of all that is holy put someone who can write some good team chemistry on Red Hood and Arsenal and I will read the shit out of it. Put Gail Simone on that. What's Chuck Dixon up to these days? Not much? Good. Throw his ass on that book. He's written a ton of highly regarded Bat-Family stuff already. Might as well have him do some Jason work.

I want to like that book so bad...so, so bad...

Johns - JSA + Shazam
Hickman - LoSh + New Gods
Morrison - Tales of Multiversity (thinking it would be like an anthology series)
Snyder - Justice League + Detective Comics
King - Batman
Gillen - Green Lantern Corps
Waid - Action Comics
Giffen - Plastic Man
etc

I was going to say they're only letting Johns write one book at a time, but that list just more "pie in the sky" as I read it. Great ideas though!

I feel like if all of those were true I would probably read them. Would be interesting to think about art teams but at this point I just want news when it will turn out BC were wrong and it is literally just JSA Rebirth and that is it.

This sounds great to me. Dixon had a good start to BoP before Simone took it to even higher ground. He also had some great Batman family stuff, as you mentioned.

Regarding Simone, how is the new Secret Six?

One thing I'd like to see would be another Zatanna ongoing by Dini.

are these announcements or a wishlist?

because god damn I'd have to buy batman AND detective comics. not to mention collect the new justice league run too.

love snyder's work on batman, and tom king is one of the better recent writers out there.

I'm not quite clear on the last one. If you're taking about Starlin's weird Stormwatch, Sterling Gates retconned it back to the original New 52 version with his single issue on the title.

Oh man I stopped reading with the issue that changed the universe / team. Didn't know we actually got the team back.

Oh, it's a wishlist. I just would love it. I'd buy everything. I'd love Hickman to be able to write something and not have to double ship multiple titles just do LoSH (his favourite book) and New Gods to set up something crazy./

I can see Johns doing JSA Rebirth then handing off the title to someone else. I don't think DC is ready to let go of him on JL, he was already talking up Seven Seas and a Bryan Hitch crossover. It'd be great if they let him do more than one title now that the DCEU is probably laid out for the next half decade.

I'm hoping D.C. does something to make all these multiple universes make sense, maybe some kind of map? Or maybe just collapse them all into one? I don't know. Maybe bring back all the alternate universes? How about each issue is a different universe and doesn't connect with any of the others?

For all of the last issue before it was cancelled.

Err, didn't they literally do a map for Multiversity until Multiversity basically said it's an Omniverse?

Have you seen the multiversity guide book ?there are 52 local universes and the rest are "distant" for example the arrowverse.

If this isn't a joke post, you need to check out The Multiversity. It's almost exactly what you're describing and ridiculously good.

Speaking of, who teases stuff like 3-4 weeks in advance? DC did one tease and then walked away.

Dunno. If one thing is consistent with DC is that their marketing is always awful. It's like a curse.

Marvel teasing dead no more (complete with curtains), probably didn't help matters much.

Well DeMatteis is exactly where JLD went bad. In fairness, he jumped on during Blight, but after that it was pure mediocrity and nonsense.

I stopped reading JLD around Blight. The first 6 or so issues were the best though.

Rebirth probably won't have much to do with the magic side, but it's the side of DC that needs the most work. It's down to just constantine and fate now right? I'm reading Ostrander's spectre and it makes me wish there was a current spectre ongoing or a more fantastical Dr. Fate.

Hell, I don't even know who the current spectre is. Is it still Crispus Allen?

edit: Guess it's back to Corrigan with new 52. Guess I need to read New 52 Phantom Stranger some time.

Having rewatched Young Justice recently, if its true that they want the reboot to gel more with the other media
I'd definitely want Cheshire if she shows up completely based around that version, look and all.

One of the few great things the show had going through S1&2
