Man, just did 2 hours of pure co-op with a friend on a fresh new game loop from my clear save. It was so good. We gathered up all the initial survivors after the first Zombrex shot for Katey, tamed Snowflake (took SO FUCKING LONG that the story mission expired and the old lady at Children's Castle also expired, but whatever! :lol), beat the CURE guy and gathered up 8 survivors and got them back to the safe house. Since the story on this run is now fubar, it's going to be a pure fuck around/achievement farm run until rescue comes now. Soooo awesome. :D

Exactly what i did alone yesterday, spent the WHOLE day doing nothing but getting survivors, Katey's gifts - i finished the game in the evening, with lvl 33, doing only 3 story missions :) It's so awesome now, i don't have to worry about a LOT of things and i'm happy to restart the whole thing for the story.

But i have a question, could someone help me? This will be my first playhtrough, so a spoiler-free answer would be awesome. So: what should i do for an S ending? I REALLY hate it when you have to go through impossible chores just to get an ending which is not absolutely terrible.

This time i thought i'm not gonna go around and get every survivor i could, maybe 15-20 at max, not bothering with katey's gifts either and only killing the psychopats i really have to / skipped at my first run.

(Yes i know i should use google which i did but i was not brave enough not to read the beginning of the ending synopsis. http://deadrising.wikia.com/wiki/Dead_Rising_2 So if someone would ctrl+c, ctrl+v the requirements, i would be very glad :)

So, anyone know if some enterprising person has figured out a way to hack the time limit stuff from the PC version?

I know, I know...I'm missing the point. Still, I want to play it that way.

I just took Chuck into the movie theater. I'm in tears.

"What does the book say?"

As long as you complete every single story mission, you will eventually get the best ending at the end. That means finishing all the Cases, and making sure any story character who needs Zombrex gets it on time.

Isn't that dependent on whether the player gives TK some Zombrex or not?

Anyone else get a bug where character models in cutscenes are invisible? It's really weird but hilarious. The sniper cutscene was basically redneck sniper rifles talking. :lol

Thanks, that's really reassuring!

Just beat the game and got the S.

I rather enjoyed the story and the thing with
Rebecca
was out of nowhere and surprised the hell out of me.

Once I'd leveled up to 20 or so I started breezing through most of the psychos except for the final boss
Fucking Sullivan, overtime was a synch in comparison

Hope they take a more gimmick direction for psychos like the
comeback show
in future rather than straight up pattern combat.

Where can you find more Zombrex. aside from the pawnshop?

Some survivors have some, some bosses drop it, and there's doses hidden around the map. I only found 2 like that, not sure how many they placed.

Is there anywhere you can change clothes other than the safe house? I mean into things like underwear. I went to a survivor in her underwear and said she'll only come with me if I'm in mine too. Are you kidding me? I gotta go ALL the way back, change, go back then escort her back? Fuck that.

Thanks. It's for PC but I didn't even know there was an unequip button.

On that mission once you've spoken to her you should get a waypoint to a store in the south plaza where you can change into underwear. Still a pain but it's a lot closer.

There's an underwear display in the same area. If you talked to her one more time she tells you about it.

Just got the S ending on the first play through and missed the 50 survivors by one. Still, I think I killed all of the bosses and managed to get the 8 survivors at once achievement. I also spent way too much time playing strip poker because I could have sworn they give me an achievement for getting everyone else naked. Easily one of the best games this generation and an improvement on the first game.

Woo! Definitely screwed up earlier on with some survivors, but I didn't expect to do so well on my "first" run. I restarted around level 10 when I missed case 2, but this was my first actual shot.

Managed to get the achivement for all the combo cards from psychopaths...I didn't aim for them, but I ended up killing them all except for
Antoine and two of the four Snipers.

Finished this today and thought it was great

Although im a bit tired of zombie killing now, probably wont replay it again untill a long time

Anyone else going for Genocide Achievements? I'm at 30,000 zombies down right now, should have 72,000 by monday night.

Has to be all in the same playthrough, right? How are you doing it, just driving around Royal Flush in the car?

I'm going to start tomorrow.

The plan is to rush for the car magazine, ride the arena bike to the suv then go nuts.

Saving/reloading in the middle of the park periodically to refill the zombies.

Is it possible to get the PC version working with the DS3? I'm using MotioninJoy over USB and it all works in windows, but when I load the game up, the Controller option is greyed out.

So, as I was messing around in the area near the safe house, I jumped off a booth and elbow dropp'd some zombitch

The result:

Weird glitch >_>
As her legs exploded, she fell to the ground, then immediately rose back up. o_O
It was pretty funny, because I was showing this game off to a friend.
"Hey, watch this elbow dro-- what the hell?" :lol

And how do you collect money fast and easy? :p

Cause, scrounging up those leftovers at the casino doesn't help

There's quite a few ways. Play Terror is Reality, get the gambling book and play the large slot machine, smash atms or use the hacking device on them (computer case+flashlight) for $10,000 a go.

Man, I can't beat the CURE guy :lol

:(

I just beat him him on my replay today, doing co-op with a friend. This strategy probably won't work for you, since we're really high level and all, but what we did was stock up on lightsabers, split up so he can't attack both of us at once, and we just tag teamed slashed him to death whenever he stopped. :lol :lol

Well, it seems the survivors that you need to escort are still batshit dumb/insane.

"Follow me"
"No way, I'll just run into this pack of zombies instead"
"...."

The only problem I had with escorting a survivor was with Kenneth, who was one of the first survivors you find. And that was only because he was old, slow, and liked to pick fights with whatever he runs into.
Other than that, as long as I run and call my survivors, they'll follow. Don't know how you got them to run into crowds of zombies...
I've played through the game just about 3 times and haven't had any problems with that.

Edit: Unless you stop for too long to kill zombies or for something else. If they're following behind you and you stop for too long, they'll stop for a bit too, and start to get covered with zombies.

What are you talking about? Story missions are clearly marked as such, and always second on the list, right under giving Katey zombrex. They're also clearly laid out in the cut-scenes. Don't blame the game when you miss the obvious.
don't forget that the main story missions always send urgent calls when they are within an hour of expiring..

you need to select 'Xbox 360 emulator' option in Motioninjoy DS3 Tool.

The difference is, they will actually hold their own and get out without your constant babysitting. Survivors are WAY less of a headache in this game than they were in the first.

I'm not sure if I'm reading it right, but your survivors stack right? As in, if I save someone in my first playthrough and then quit soon after, when I start again I will have 'saved' that survivor in my second?

I don't think so, you have to save them each playthrough... which makes that Achivement/Trophy as demanding as the rest of them :p

Havent really noticed this to be quite honest, I try to circle around the mob of zombies so the person I try to escort will hopefully not get caught by them. But that person actually runs towards them even if I keep pressing the Y button to make him/her follow me. And then he/she gets constantly grabbed so I have to throw myself into the mass.

Or maybe I just suck, I dunno.
