Why are you perplexed by this, stro?I don't understand why they insist on running matches that are going to be on PPV in a week or two. They did Rowan/Big Show on Raw for no reason when they had a PPV match scheduled in 2 weeks. Harper/Ziggler have a match scheduled in 10 days. They've already had 4 matches on TV in the past month and a half I think. Main event for Raw will probably be Cena/Rollins. Smackdown will probably be Ryback/Kane.
It makes it easy for them to book creatively by giving these matches away constantly.
Nobody will gives a rat's ass about any of the outcomes because they're just trading wins meaningless in pointless feuds without stories.
They're not bothering to sell anyone on the actual PPV events where these matches will also take place... albeit with a dumb stipulation.
And they'll just have rematches on RAW the day after the PPV itself.
So what does any of this matter? They insist on doing it because it's easy.
They insist on doing it because it results in nobody getting over.
They insist on doing it to ensure we're sick of everybody on the card.
And thus Cena gets to keep his spot. Ditto for Reigns when he comes back.
People get conditioned to expect crap and lower their expectations accordingly.
Hence they don't have to try as hard.
