Detailed Horizon Remaster Comparison shots

Building off someone's hard work on Reddit getting all the locations lined up, thought I'd just create some animated gif comparisons and the upload them to a slider site - the difference is pretty big gaf! $10 for this is looking a bargain right now. First game on my Pro for sure.

Hated the game but for anyone that likes this game, well worth the small upgrade cost for this level of improvement. Does the Pro get additional improvements on top of this?

I can see some not liking it but the colors look more balanced and diverse to me

Kind of like PS3 demons souls vs PS5
Yeah, it’s more neutral. Not a game changer, but I wish there was an option to restore the original colors without losing the graphics upgrade.
Not the same time of day
Maybe not in Meridian, but inside the mountain doesn’t matter as far as I’m aware.

Huge leap, but I don’t like how they messed with the colors. I liked the earthy red toned in Meridian and inside the mountain. That second shot completely destroys the atmosphere by seemingly removing the haze and the red filter.
They've added haze and red light to the second shot have they not? Outdoor lighting is just time if day differences mainly

Such a waste.

So many games are more deserving of this kind of remaster.
The issue is those games would require way more resources to get this level of fidelity.

This looks like it was a relatively quick and inexpensive update since they had all the assets already created for them for Forbidden West by Guerilla.

People saying the only difference is color grading have absolutely no clue what they're looking at.

I really didn't care for this game back in the day otherwise I'd grab a cheap Steam key and the $10 upgrade. The difference is impressive, I'm almost considering giving it another chance.

This and the Until Dawn remaster were so unnecessary.

Looks good, sure, Forbidden West still looks great and this uses the same tech.
Yeh, if Nixxes wasn't working on this they could have been working on PC ports of games like Ghost of Tsushima or Spider Man 2 ... Oh, wait...

(Unnecessary for you, but not for me and I reckon they'll sell millions of this at a tenner, it's a simple remaster because they have crap loads of assets from Forbidden West)

That's actually a lot more impressive than I expected.

It's still very strange they felt the need to remake such a recent game, but they didn't half-ass it.

I think having the musical score not chip out randomly throughout gameplay because of how heavy it was on the PS4 will make for a much better experience overall to despite the graphical jump. I'm excited to replay it for that alone

I was just reading up on Bluepoints' Nathan Drake Collection. According to Naughty Dog, about 80% of PS4 owners had never played an Uncharted game by the time the remastered collection was being developed (less than 3 years after UC3 came out).

And Zero Dawn has been out for about 7 years now. I think it just feels recent because Forbidden West just came out 2 years ago, and is still one of the best looking game of the generation.
