Detroit in 6.

They WILL steal at least one in SA of the first 2 games.

SA's awful road play will be critical in this series. Detroit can do it in 5 again if they play solid, and I expect them to. But SA is too good for 5 I think.

if San Antonio loses even ONE of their first two home games, I'd say they're in deep shit.

Hell, I'd say if they lose ANY home games, period, they're in trouble.

Umm...the Spurs beat the Suns 3 times in Phoenix. I repeat, 3 times in Phoenix.

Spurs and Pistions will split the games in SA, then the Spurs will win 2 of 3 in DET (Games 3 and 5?). Spurs will likely win Game 6 in SA, but if they lose, they'll take Game 7 for the title. That's how I see it anyhow.

Nah, it is going to be an all out slaughter.

Detroit's offense is below average at best and they will have no answer for Duncan. That is the difference between these two teams. They can both play great defense, but Detroit doesn't have a go to guy that will get you a basket when you need it. Duncan is the best player in the league, sorry Pimpwerx but Shaq hasn't been the best player for a long time.

Detroit's only chance is a Dunan injury.

Detroit is going to lose by an average of 13 points.

Note, the Konex curse has been broken forever.

I am taking all avatar bets on the Lakers next season!

Who ever averages the most points

Who ever has the most wins

Who ever shoots the highest FG%

Loser has to wear an avatar chosen by the winner from the day the regular season ends, til the day the next regular season begins.

Lets see, they had the best record through the regular season, they blew out Miami and when they played Detroit nash was out. The only team they really had trouble with all year was the Spurs. If the Suns were in the east they would be in the finals.

My official prediction is Spurs in 6. :D

But, I don't think it'll be a slaughter. The Spurs haven't played a good defensive team yet in the playoffs. Pistons will give them some trouble. I also expect a classic Spurs meltdown in one of the games at home. It just wouldn't be a Spurs Finals without it. :lol

What's your official prediction?

I will foolishly take that bet with one addition. The loser recieves a tag from a mod proclaiming how great they believe the winning player to be. :D

Don't be blaming Yao for T-Mac's failures next year either.

I have confidence in Kobe and the Lakers again now that the Kobex curse has been broken.

48%? You're on. Wait, are we talking about 23-24 points per game or 28+ ppg here? Because Kobe can certainly average the former on 48% FG, but not the latter.


Also, 54+ wins? :lol You're expecting a 16+ game jump in one year? :lol Looks like you're gonna have two months worth of Jordanshame to look forward to. :) Someone keep a record of this. :p

Spurs in 5 games. Spurs don't have that killer instinct so they will blow one game away.

I just don't respect the Detroit team and I believe the Spurs will expose them once and for all.

You think I'm not confident? I took this same bet with Ninja Scooter before this season and he welched on it! Hopefully all Laker fans are not bet welchers :)

Thus all bets are off and LA can finally go back to winning basketball games. :D

And Laker fans never welch on their bets! I carried around a Jordan avatar in shame for months!
