Same here.Games like this are missing out these days.We need to have games like Deus Ex or Dishonored around just to remind the newer generations what it means to play a real game, not just some dumbed down shooter or top notch graphics game with zero gameplay elements

I hope gaming sites will make a bigger fuss about the release of Deus Ex,rather than flooding us with another No Man's Sky article or the imminent Destiny expansion

The name is really mainly a holdover from the first game where a "God out of the Machine" was a huge plot point.

thats not why the game was named that. If thats what it wanted to get across it would have actually been called deus ex machina. There is a deliberate reason why they cut the line short, the game is a question. Its literally God from. All its missing is a question mark. Which is sorta in your hands at the end of the game.

I hope this game ends with Paul Denton, I really want a direct prequel to machina and their next game to be a remake with systems intact of machina.

Is machina a new name for deus ex: the conspiracy?

Wut. The first score (other than Edge) is already in.

Pixel's Game - 9/10

Just read this "review"...

the author claims to have only played 7 hours...

"...currently I’m only 7 hours into the game but I have reached the first boss fight and did one side mission.."

Also, already found an error:

"There’s even an option to get caught up on the events that happened in Human Revolution in a 10 minute video which is welcome to those that haven’t played the previous installment."

I heard it's like 16 minutes? Even the 2 videos on the Deus EX YouTube sub are longer than 10 minutes combined...

Also everything else he wrote sounds ripped from a preview. The PC Port stuff was already known from a Reddit user lol. The Reddit user was even using a 770 so I think this Reviewer is just either lazy or something.

This guy played 7 hours, decided to haphazardly throw up a "review"...I don't care if he gave it a 9...it should be pulled.

anything on the quality of the PC port yet?

Or is that something we will find out shortly?

Pixel's Game review covered that:
PC Port

Two quick things to mention before I move on to the PC port, the first is that loading screens are a little excessive especially when loading your save file or riding the train. Both of them take like a good minute which is a little too long but hopefully they patch that out soon. The second is that I was unable to play the breach mode of Mankind Divided due to it requiring an internet connection, now though from my understanding it does seem like a nice distraction from the main game I sadly can’t judge that because the online isn’t available right now.

I’m sure many of you are probably wondering how the PC version of Mankind Divided is since Nixxes is handling the port. I’m happy to say that the PC port of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is great, it has almost every option you want and you can even toggle many of the effects such as chromatic aberration and sharpen. It runs great on my GTX 770 on medium settings and I’ve had little to no issues with the performance of my system. If there’s one thing that the port could’ve done better is including what number the FOV slider is at because using percentages is a little confusing but that’s more of a nitpick. Coming from Nixxes this is not really a surprise since most of their track record is great but it’s nice to see this port isn’t as bad as something recent like No Man’s Sky.

HR was my first Deus Ex, so excited for this one. The hubs look so much more appealing to explore.

"real gamers", "real games"

That attitude is still around?

i always feel weird when people say shit like this. I usually enjoy the game they are talking about, but also most of the games they are deriding. Not sure why they feel the need to distinguish them, just to feel superior i guess.

That's one interpretation, but I don't think you can say it's the canonical one (unless you have a source on Sheldon or Warren or Harvey saying that?)...given that there's only one ending with a "god" of any sort.

It's also reflected strongly in the opening scene of the game:

"Aquinas spoke of the mythical city on the hill. Soon that city will be a reality and we will be crowned its kings. Better than kings...gods."

Page's entire goal was to make himself a "god out of the machine".

I assume the "Machina" part was cut out to allow for a shorter, slightly more palatable title.

Goddamnit. That was one of the worst parts of HR. It made dying a real pain in the ass.

I mean that's just some dude's Tumblr, reads more like fan impressions. Can't really take something seriously as a "review" when he's 7 hours into the game.

We'll just wait for tomorrow but I'm sure it will do just fine in terms of scores.

That's weird indeed. But the review is included on opencritic, how come?

I really do need to play Deus Ex: Invisible War at some point. I've played the first Deus Ex (added some mods even after a while) and Human Revolution but I couldn't get IW to even run.

Damn, I only have a 960. I guess I'll have to run it on low if I want decent performance.
