Then you explore every last place and loot everything that isn't nailed down you can add 10-20h to that :D

Yup, I take MUCH longer than the average playtime of gamers to complete a game. I search every nook and cranny and try to read everything I can and absorb the detail in the game. Looking at 40-50 hours for 1st playthrough like HR.

I played Human Revolution for about 40 hours, doing almost all of the sidequests and exploring as much as I could. Hoping for the same length for MD.

Edge said the main story can be completed in 20 hours.

With side quests, it will probably be about 30 hours.

I think it's going to take me 60 because I already have 4-5 hours and only completed 1 main mission and 2 side missions XD.
Then again I'm going for a no-kill run so I save and reload a bunch of times. Going to have to wait for a guide to do a no-alert run because it already seems pretty hard to pull off.
Really digging the setting for this one and the visuals are a huge improvement (no more piss filter!)

You have the game?! Give us some first impressions NAOW :D

Not much to say only a couple of hours played:
-Visuals are great.
-Gameplay is pretty much similar to Human Revolution with a few improvement here and there. (No complains there since HR was really good in the gameplay department).
-AI is pretty ruthless even in normal, they are even smart enough to shoot through the vents and throw grenades inside if they catch you.
-Story already has me hooked from just the beginning mission. Side mission have a couple of ways to complete which is great and they don't make too easy, you have listen to the NPCs and read up on those portable logs.
-Haven't explore much of the hubs but they seem similar to HR in size with a lot more details.

I don't know. This doesn't sound right. The games everyone is hyped about are the ones whose embargo ends days after the game's released.

I hope it has this effect on me. The last game to have me within its story clutches was The Last of Us.

Please be good.

I know your whole post isn't serious, but that never happens.

For games like NMS and Division that's pretty much what it seems like. Everyone has to wait for the servers to go live on day one or a patch to fix everything. Even the reviewers.

My interest in the story kind of decreased the more I played HR. I became more engrossed in the level design and gameplay with each new environment as it went on. Hopefully the story keeps me hooked throughout with MD but I'm sure I'll still enjoy just playing it.

A few interviews went up overnight, the quick summary.

1. Sidequests are independent mini-stores of their own and are around one to two hours long. Some are hard to find. source

2. The game is built on a modified version of the Hitman engine. source

3. The game will track your decisions so that your ending can transfer to the next Deus Ex game (should it happen). source

Personally, what I have seen thus far has looked a bit average. I saw Edge gave it a 9, which is well beyond the early gameplay I've experienced. But I'm hopeful it can at least exceed Human Revolution.

That's always a joke, but it does happen. I'm in Australia where the game comes out a day after the states and they expect you to hold off your reviews. Come on!

This game is going to be my GOTY i just feel it. Only thing that has a chance to knock it off is Gravity Rush 2.

I have really high hopes for this game I loved HR, There was some things that needed improvement but I'm sure that they will be addressed this time around.

Also anyone know if Eidos announced that the game will support 21:9 3440x1440? Can't seem to find anything on it, I also asked Deus Ex facebook page but no answer yet...

It's going to definitely be a sleeper hit/GOTY for many people I bet.

Uncharted 4 was great, but after Last of Us, let's be honest, it's kind of nothing special apart from the graphics. Doom...ok, it's probably the best FPS this year, but that's it really...

Deus Ex has been in development in a while and the game just SHOWS it...the attentiont to detail, developer confidence, artstyle, listening to player feedback ... this game is going to be GOTY for me.
