wow.

S4 seems like the time to do it and start building towards an endpoint or the quality will start dropping.
White Man said:On a similar note, I hope that S5 is the last season. I'd rather the show end early than have it driven into the ground. Unfortunately, I think it's Showtime's biggest thing going, so who knows.
There really aren't :\TheCardPlayer said:NO! Never. Dexter could go on to Season 10. There's just a million of different possibilities there.

I had no idea who she was, but just looking at her you could tell she was probably pretty bangin' when she was younger. Google Image does not lie. Not too bad at all.Dan said:That was pretty good. Adrienne Barbeau showed up. I wonder if she'll appear again.

Are we sure the posting of the episode was an accident? That's quite a mistake if so.

iirc, this is the 4th leak the series has had.stupei said:Could be wrong but I'm pretty sure this is the third year in a row that Dexter's season premier has "leaked" early.
Oh, probably.glistenm said:about the crash though, he had probably already disposed of the body, I think they're misdirecting like in the intro
Well unfortunately, as long as Dexter remains a practicing serial killer, there's always a chance of getting caught. That's not something the writers could or should just sweep away. The only real options are a) he stops killing people (which would suck), or b) he gets caught (which would change the show drastically). Option b would make for an interesting final season, whenever that may be. But until then, shikata ga nai.gdt5016 said:Just finished the episode. God damn what a great opener.
I agree with Costanza that this whole thing has to build up to something. Or else it'll become like House (a show I like) where nothing ever changes, especially for the main character. That hasn't happened to this show yet because Dexter as a character has gone through major changes, but the more they keep him in the almost-getting-caught rut, he'll stagnate.

They should definitely stop relying on it to manufacture tension and cliff hanger endings, that's for sure.gdt5016 said:I don't mean the actual almost-getting-caught element. That should always be there. I just used that phrase to describe the rut and formula the show is in danger of falling into.
Why does Season 3 get flack?Baron Aloha said:I'm already liking this season MUCH BETTER than season 3.

YES. THANK YOU. I'm ALWAYS pointing that out too!AlexMogil said:Nobody in this show says goodbye on the phone.
Yeah, it bothers me a little as well. I notice it a lot in heavily-scripted TV dramas.AlexMogil said:Nobody in this show says goodbye on the phone.

Ditto. I'm sure they'll drag it out until it's nearly unwatchableWhite Man said:On a similar note, I hope that S5 is the last season. I'd rather the show end early than have it driven into the ground. Unfortunately, I think it's Showtime's biggest thing going, so who knows.
