Just tried forcing Transformer model in MH Wilds benchmark. There is about a 7% performance hit, in line with what DF observed, but the image quality cleans up A LOT. At least with MH Wilds and whatever RE Engine is doing, the Transformer model looks incredible compared to previous CNN

MH Wilds benchmark does not support DLSS 4 (and I doubt the final game will either) so you will need to force it using DLSS Swapper and NV Profile Inspector if you also want to try this

After some testing the usual suspect 4K performance there is no question this is awesome!
I'd say it should be mandatory for basically any game, not just for the expected performance uplift (many older games wouldn't even need that..) but the superior sharp and crisp image quality in general is killer. Nvidia app level override is promising or DLSS swapper route but at this point I'd love if this was taken one step further to eventually inject it into whatever you'd like to recent or way older titles as well.
Because at the end of the day it's just sad to not have this in many good games, for example like the recent RE games stuck with FSR 1 or whatever.

Still runs decent but I'll take any frames I can get.

Try forcing the DLSS "J" preset globally with nv inspector and nvidia drivers will automatically use the latest DLSS in all games that support DLSS.

K is the latest preset. You can also set Inspector to "Always use latest" in newer versions.

I forgot DLSS 1.0 even existed . Yes, games need to support DLSS 2.0 in order to use DLSS 4 (transformer model).

interestingly you don't need nvidia app override or dlss swapper. just like in cyberpunk and alan wake 2, you can change the preset within the game settings

Forcing dlss4 through nvidia app is bugged... great work nvidia. I just updated the app thats supposed to fix it but still cant force it, because it defaults back to the basic setting. Also i used dlss swapper for awoved and used the 3.10 version and it worked great, but thats stopped working too. Atleast it works in KCD2. Man i cant go back to DLSS3 after 4. Its just so much better

Yeah I don't like inspector that much. I think this file (that is inside Nvidia app) is the easiest thing to use. But there are many options.

Yeah there is a hotfix in gethub or something. i dont know where i got it from. the dlss 4 worked for me again after the hotfix.

To be it was a driver issue though not Nvidia app.

1. That would give you DLSS 4 CNN model but not DLSS 4 with Transformer model **
2. Not heard anything, but that option (Game filters and Photo mode) is turned off by default since the first App update after the issue was brought up.

Unless maybe (according to some) you copy the DLSS4 dll from -> C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA\NGX\models\dlss\versions\20316673\files\160_E658700.bin
and rename this bin file to nvngx_dlss.dll

Used inspector to get DLSS4 on Black Ops and it's def an upgrade. 5k visa moonlight to my vision pro, PC running 5090, 9800x3d. Gaming bliss.
