This reminds me why I've loved Doctor Who since I was a kid. So many memories. What a great image.

I vote for Robert Sheehan as the Doctor in about 5 or so years. Guy is hilarious on Misfits.
One of them is a brand new trailer, specially written and shot for The Day of the Doctor. Its never been seen before and is currently in post-production. Bold, brilliant and unexpected, it promises to be an ideal way to look forward to the big day 23 November.
Well bring you that trailer as soon as we can, but in the meantime, heres a shot from behind the scenes of its production. And dont forget to catch the stings tonight on BBC One around Atlantis! If theyre on a little late for you, dont worry, well have them right here on the official site so you can watch for weeks after they air!
Personally, i feel that there's 11 actors who've played the Doctor, if they're not available you leave that version of the character alone.
I don't mind quick body double shots like Name of the Doctor, but not really into complete recasting like Hurndall.

This one cracks me up.That's nowhere near as bad as the recasting of Baker in that shot:

Here are the previously 'filmed especially' trailers with no footage from the actual series - tonight's will probably be like these:

Just posting so people can put their expectations in line!
My guess: A compilation of footage, with John Hurt doing his turn around thing at the end. It's kind of insane how little they're reminding people David Tennant is in it!
That Matt Smith trailer was pretty good in 3D.
Odds on McGann starring in tonight's trailer? Place your bets people
I wish! Maybe this is what he was recording VO in the style of Matt for?

Those are Time War era Daleks I'd say, along with the weird Galifreyan looking arches from this picture we got of the Daleks;
And the DotD poster;
So it's probably going to be focused on Hurt Doctor. Not such a stretch of the imagination to think it might show the birth of the Hurt Doctor...
so this will be like The Birth Of Mewtwo, and then TDotD will be Mewtwo Strikes Back
neat
That sounds incredible.And he'll send an evil Amy/Rose/Donna after the Doctor with weird birthmarks? I can dig.
Only Doctor Who fans could complain about a specially shot trailer celebrating 50 years, over a trailer for an episode they'll see in full in a month.
someone I know has seen the trailer, and has dropped two hints, and two words:
"Not saying I've seen it or anything but it's bloody awesome, and if you record it make sure when you play it back to look out fora surprise face near an Ood"
"There is NO FOOTAGE or refs to the actual episode in the trail. If there are hints they are very VERY subtle"
And the two words:
"Paul McGann"
This tumblr has posted some pics from the 50th anniversary, don't click if you don't want to be spoiled, I don't know where they're from.

One of those confirms Matt's clue:"Paintings"
20 minutes to go.
That was actually pretty cool going through all the Doctors, sure, no actual footage, but pretty neat none the less.
Missed it! Wasin it!?Paul McGann
