I didn't pick up on this part. I thought they were just orphans.
Where was this implied?

Rewatching the WWII story from Series 1, and it's interesting how much you pick up on when you haven't watched something since you were 13. The kids running back to London from presumably paedophile carers, the "sweat on my brow" guy having a gay affair with the butcher... Moffat certainly didn't hold back with that script.

It's a student-y sort of a cinema, with everything that comes with that.I've never been to the vue (cos its a bugger to get there) but the George street odeon is a pretty horrible cinema
One of my favourite Tennant-era episodes, and a prime example of how Moffat can actually produce some decent-quality television. Why couldn't that quality copy over to his reign on the Smith era? They just had Blink on as part of the Monsters and Villians show on BBC3 and I forgot just how good it is.
The camera work when showing the statues changing positions is awesome.

The more restrictions placed upon Moffat, the better he performs.
Give him 7 minutes to show us McGann's regeneration and he'll knock it out of the park.
Give him 45 minutes for a one shot and he'll deliver The Girl in the Fireplace or Blink.
Give him a two parter and he'll do Silence in the Library/Forest of the dead.
Give him complete control of everything and he'll go nuts.
It's art from adversity.
Yeah, I watched some of it some months ago and it was really bad. Its so funny that this exist though, who on earth thought this was a good idea.
Would love to hear the rifftrax version.
Hey guys, im ready to watch DAT Peter Cushing in 3D!

Im going alone
There are a few mentions here and there but by and large he tries to distance himself from RTD's reign as much as possible. That said, the upcoming 50th Anniversary centers around a big plot point from Series 1-4.So besides River are there any links to the previous Doctor?
I watched Boom Town Friday night and literally thought what a crying shame it is we only got one episode with that foursome. The banter is fantastic, and I would have liked to see it in a different setting to modern day Cardiff.Man, Boom Town is the most blatant filler episode ever but damn if those character moments with 9, Rose, Jack and Mickey aren't completely fantastic.
I love how Mickey grows over the course of Series 1 to be able to shoot banter back at 9 before 9 gets a word in. Noel and Chris' chemistry was so much better than with David. I need an episode with that gang running into 11 and the Ponds.![]()
lolYou should read the explanations on how the movies fit into Doctor Who canon.
You won't be going alone. You will have a Doctory los Daleks.
lol
About the canon, would love to, they are probably insane. Something about alternative realities I suppose?
I work in Cineworld Cardiff and I'm currently on holiday. Back the day this airs and we've sold out 5 screens...Ugh.

Hi
I take Dr Who & The Daleks as a very inaccurate documentary about the Dalek invasion made in-universe.
Going to the 50th with a girl. *hint hint*
I've never been with a girl who was into Doctor Who as much as I am. Super pretty, super smart, super athletic, and a cheerleader at my school. She's so into me.
GAF, this weekend will be amazing.

Steer clear of attractive men in nerdy glasses and trenchcoats. Don't want you becoming the robot dog now.

Nev Fountain's short story "The Five O'Clock Shadow", from the anthology Short Trips: A Day in the Life, reveals that Dr. Who and his eight-year-old granddaughter Suzy are fictitious creations invented by the real, Time Lord Doctor to keep his nemesis, Shadow (the embodiment of grief and sorrow), distracted until such time as he could overcome his grief and escape from Shadow's prison. Shadow has no hold over the cheerful, angst-free Dr. Who, who departs with Suzy on further childlike and wondrous adventures.
