I have a few nerdy IT friends that prefer LOL to Dota2, and they always like talking about it like it's some superior life choice they made. They even criticize dota2 as being for poor people, while heralding LOL's f2p model as being superior.
People should just play what is fun for them. I understand wanting to evangelize and get more friends playing your game of choice but some people take it too far and start crucifying dota or league just because they've found their comfort zone in either game.

Hey man, just found it funny. I'm not bashing lol or mentioning some of the conversations I hear from lol players every week.
I remember trying to get a League friend into Dota and he would keep referring to Dota as "attack of the blobs" because of how slow everything was relative to LoL and he had the render quality slider all the way to the left. He's such an idiot sometimes but I love him, he's my friend.

I find modes like ARDM and Ability Draft are a less frustrating way to get people into the game
Don't worry the only people who enjoyed it were the people who played it the first few days two years ago. Item farmers and pubs who thought they had a chance at the gold/plat rosh ruined it very quickly.I never got to enjoy dire tide

Grieveling was such a shame, Valve clearly put a ton of effort into the mode, custom mechanics, customizable 'heroes', new items, new announcer. And it sucked so much.
game sounds cool though, farmed up Medusa, multiple spectre buyback kills, a rapier
