The outfit was more than just aesthetic. So this is "disqualified" for changing an outfit (which subjectively better looks btw), but RE2 is the king despite changing or even cutting way more stuff? Okay...
Resident Evil 2 was made by Capcom themselves. The DNA, so to speak, was still there. Bloober is a different team in a different country who never worked on anything from the series before. I believe that counts for something. You may disagree with George Lucas changing things in Star Wars but it’s still (was) his to do with as he pleased.
I was gonna respond but you caught it.They haven't changed anything except the face. The same undertones and story are there. I feel that a lot of those who misunderstood the original story or don't know it are just jumping on the bandwagon of "she looks like Mulder from x-files lol" when it's really not the case. I'm against DEI as much as the next reasonable, same person on this forum, but if there is ever a character to ever complain about being de-sexualised in a remake, it's Angela from SH2. If anyone has a problem with it, then they haven't played the original or don't understand the story. It's a non issue.
I have played the original many times. Big fan. Maria is also a component of James’s sexual frustration, in my eyes. She appears as what a part of James wanted Mary to be but instead she was bedridden and sick. Pyramid Head (Red Pyramid Thing) is James’s punisher.Apologies, original reply was misread, you are on about Maria, have you played the original? Do you understand what Maria is? The nurses are James' representation of sexual attraction, not Maria or Pyramid Head.
How could I forget? You are correct.REmake is the GOAT-remake. It will never be dethroned. Released in 2002 and is still a benchmark.
