E3 2015 Predictions & Discussion thread

That's right Final Fantasy VII Remake is announced.

Next up Ono from Capcom takes the stage. New trailer of Dragon's Dogma is shown. Then SFV trailer is also shown. Ono for some reason is cosplaying as Spiderman. He then goes onto announce Marvel Vs Capcom 4.

Next up the PS4 architect comes on stage. He talks about the days he used to work for Sega. He then announces Sony has bought Sega. He then announces 2 new games. Sonic the Hedgehog 4 and Shenmue 3.

Finally Jack Tretton makes a surprise appearance. He walks on stage and only says a few words. "I have unfinished business", he drops the mic and leaves the stage, the room goes dark and some pleasant music plays, then we see "The Last Guardian" with the conference ending.

It's actually very nice not to expect anything major from this E3. My hype isn't going overboard (yet), and the biggest reveal I expect is Horizon. While I can't wait to see more from Doom and Fallout 4 - I also want to see Final Fantasy XII HD Remastered become a reality. It won't hurt if it isn't announced though, as it looks very fine on emulation anyway.

I don't know, I feel like a lot of this is really informed speculation from this thread and other stuff I've read on Gaf. 3 WWS announcements, WB Exclusive, Capcom exclusive, XCOM teaser, PS co-marketing with games like AC, Battlefront, and maybe Blops 3. Only things that might be a little much is Parappa and MM's IP, but I still believe.
 
Shu comes up on stage and says, "What you've all been waiting for."
Lights go dim.
We hear a shriek.
Camera pans across beautiful scenery for 14 seconds.
A dog like creature appears in the distance.
Camera zooms in.
It's krypto the super dog.
F2P MOBA.

You'd be surprised how little time devs spend playing the game they are making.

Although some devs ARE very active gamers that can destroy no matter the game they play.

I don't think they're allowed :( Hopefully we can make them 3 days before the event. I guess it's fine if Hype Trains are banned.

Really? They are all about third parties this year.

I would say, Nintendo and Microsoft are equally interesting, with Microsoft focusing on first-party, and Nintendo still having some gems up their sleeves.

They told that 2015, their 1st-party was sparse in launching.
Not that they won't have any new information at E3.

It's ok. I confused myself with this the first time I've read the news.

Why do people keep saying this? They can announce 100 1st party titles if they want, the 3rd party focus is for the holiday season.

I just say that because every time I enter this thread, the main topic of discussion is precisely Sony's conference.
 
I haven't completed the first Uncharted, but from what I understand, that is the game that would benefit the most from revisions to the gameplay (along with the visuals). It will be really interesting to see how they update that one. Substantially upgrading that game actually seems like a considerable task, whereas U2 and U3 need less work, as I'm pretty sure they still hold up.
 
June 1st brings the E3 hype to almost max levels for me, and we will get Tomb Raider stuff to kick off the month into E3.

2 weeks from today I'll be at Bethesdas showcase hopefully seeing some of that glorious Fallout 4. Ughhhhh

I'm bloody house-ridden with a torn hamstring so I've got fourteen days to get better, haha. But yeah, they better show Fallout 4, it'll make it all better!

Oct would be my guess. But man I hope it's not rushed to meet the deadline since it has to be out this year. ND said porting TLOU alone was 'hell', so I hope whoever is porting the UC trilogy knows what they're doing.

Hopefully its Bluepoint, if they are the ones doing it I would have no fears.

Well,if Kyoufu is right, it's been in development from at least November last year. Hope that's enough time.
 
If it's Bluepoint at the helm of the remasters then I wouldn't worry, they're highly proficient at that sort of thing. Even their Titanfall downgrade for the Xbox 360 was commendable if I recall correctly.

It's most likely Bluepoint since they were hiring to bring a "highly-acclaimed franchise" to a current-gen console. They also listed that one of the keys for the job was for the person to be able to learn a propriety engine.

Hopefully either Team Gravity or HexaDrive are handling the Gravity Rush remaster.
 
I would love to know how they're remastering Drake's Fortune. Visually it's so different from Among Thieves and Drakes Deception. I wonder if they're going to give it an upgrade to match 2 and 3 or just leave it.
