ESRB rating leaks Horizon: Zero Dawn Remastered for PS5 and PC

Most people are OK with Horizon. The current version runs well enough on PS5.

The issues most have is that there are far other games worth of a remaster than this.
Yeah, but you can play Horizon on your PS5. It even got a 60fps unlock.

Killzone and Resistance? Shit out of luck. It doesn't have to be just those games either, plenty to choose from that are stuck on previous consoles.

Google says 24.3 million units.

I personally like HZD more then HFW hope it has graphic close to hfw.
Yeah HZD has got a more straight forward, less fatiguing world in it. I had more fun in it recently. But HFW had some better/improved mechanics and more advanced control settings etc in it. I'm hoping the remaster gives us something to bring us closer to the best of both worlds.

RemasterStation Pro, only £700

The PS4 Pro was the best (gaming-related) purchase of my life. The PS5 is the last Sony product I'll ever buy.

How many fucking times ? ffs. man. they dont have shit games but milking the same couple of games. this and the last of us retards.

very annoying to be honest.

Sony has lost the plot insanely hard
with efforts like this (& the pro), it's very obviously cultivating/targeting an apple-like fetishist audience composed of a specific income class of their customer base. me? i actually love zero dawn, & have replayed it, but hell if i need a likely full-price remaster of a 7 year old game that looks/plays just fine...

Gonna be a hot seller on PC. I know PC gamers loved the original and all they've really been talking about is how badly they want to buy a new rerelease with slightly better ambient occlusion.

so fucking sick and tired of these pointless remasters this gen... are there no new ideas or what? the only game people actually want a remaster off, that they won't touch... fuck's sake

If you don't want them to keep making these remasters, stop buying them. Teach them the Concord lesson.
well, about that...

I enjoyed Zero Dawn when it first launched. Platinumed it and everything.

Forbidden West was when I first REALLY grew tired of Sony's direction with the PS5. I was fatigued by Ragnarok and Forbidden West was everything I disliked about that game ratcheted up tenfold. Add in Elden Ring releasing at the same time and I can't think of a game I forgot about quicker.

Seeing this be the direction Sony's deciding to take makes me feel even more confident in my decision to sell all my PS games & gear to go Steam Deck + PC + Nintendo. I get needing to balance risk vs profit but man it feels like Sony's afraid to take any risks whatsoever this gen. Everything feels super generic and focus tested, almost like they're taking a page out of Ubisoft's book.

Yay, another remake. So thrilled. This is the generation that keeps on giving. They'll probably re-remaster every first party released from the PS5 for the PS5 Pro at this rate. Want Bloodborne remake or a sequel? Nah, we got a Miles Morales remake for you to enjoy for your shiny new PS5 Pros to show off they enhanced ray-tracing. Enjoy.

Other than Astro Bot I dont think I enjoyed any of Sony first party games this gen.

Stellar Blade and Astrobot are the best games by Sony this year for me. We really have to wait for next year since the Astrobot game itself have allot of Easter egg of OG PS games. It is possible those games might be revive.

People were mad about tlou2 remastered and now it's one of the best-selling games of the year.

Nobody forces you to play it or deleting your PS4 copy from library.
It and the tlou1 remaster are the most idiotic thing to remaster. Only good for people who haven't played them on ps3/4 already or people who are obsessed with graphics that a touch up of lighting will have them burning 60 to $70 on a price gouged remaster.

So many better games could of been remastered. Games that aren't playable on ps4/5. Killzone trilogy, resistance trilogy, gow trilogy, sly trilogy, infamous 1 and 2, Tokyo jungle, etc. That's not even touching the ps1/ps2 Gen.

So many great games stuck on ps3 and instead they push a remaster on a game that already plays on ps5 and looks great as it is. Ridiculous

Seems like a waste of time. Games readily available already
Not only that, but they literally gave the complete edition away for free back in 2021.

Even if you need to buy it, it's $20. Probably $10 at your local used game shop. My local shop has used complete edition for $15 CAD.

Now they will magically turn it into a $60 game.

I can already buy the original on my PS5 via the PSN store. They remastered edition seems a bit pointless. What else can it possibly give me but the same game with a lick of paint?

Sony is really going downhill fast huh? I can already name a few gaffers whod buy this tho so Sony knows very well their brain dead audience will buy it. If its free, cool, but it wont be.
Yeah same ones who bought tlou1 even after it was remastered for a 3rd time. It is ridiculous. So many games stuck on ps3 that they ignore, why?

If its trully a PS5 Pro launch title at the very least i hope they use the PSSR and RT features to the best of their abilities. RTGI would do wonders for Horizon. Also remember previous to the TLoU Remake people hated on it but the differences with the original ended up being pretty big.

Everything about this franchise looks so painfully "modern AAA experience". I've never even played it and I hate it. Now a remaster. Sony is attempting to bore me to death this gen.

A remake/remaster will only be given the go-ahead if it's expected to be profitable and makes good use of the studios staff.

The title in question will be on the PSN/Steam store for the next 5, 10, 15 years (or more). They aren't only looking at it's sales performance in the next 18 months. The staff in question could well have been on downtime between projects, this not only keeps them occupied, it allows them to become familiar with newer hardware and techniques.

No new projects or IP's are being lost because of these remakes/remasters. It's only adding to gamers options and generating revenue for Sony. Said revenue could incentivise them to remake older titles that require much greater resources. Or remaster your personal favourite title that others may see no reason to update.

I currently have no interest in a HZD remaster after Platinuming the original. But that could change if there's a good value upgrade and the titles visually stunning.

Of all their franchises, who in the fuck asked for Horizon to turn into a franchise for a start, and secondly, who asked for this game, out of ALL their past games, to get remastered?!?

You mean the Netflix series that was shit canned? Lol.

Can't say I'm impressed. Next gen it might be worth not getting a PS6 til the end of the gen. Might release some new fucking games then instead if remakes and remasters.
TBH most consoles are always better mid to late gen. I didn't bother with a PS4 for a long while till the pro came out and by then it had enough exclusives and games out that were cheap that it was an easy purchase for 400 bucks
