Yeah, but the problem was that it didn't cost you much life, and it was WAY too easy to recover both health and sanity. If either one was running low, all it took was a simple recovery spell to get you back up and running. More often than not, I found that once I was a short ways into the game, I had to actually make an effort to go insane, as it was way too easy to keep everything topped off. Of course, it didn't help that recovering magic was as easy as just walking around, so there was no penalty for casting spells other than a little time.

Yes, but very little life and when they happened you could quickly pop a sanity spell. Itwould be much better if the sanity actually caused increases in difficulty so that the gameplay was fundamentally altered when it occurred. There's also others ways the sanity could have effected gameplay, although I'm not nearly creative enough to think of many more.

I don't even remember that. But even so, there's a great many more ways they could have intelligently increased the difficulty of the sanity.
 
Best game this generation. It has the best atmosphere ever. You'll be eaten by it. Pure masterpiece.
