How can you blame them when they're refereeing Group D matches?Euro 2012 of linesman sleeping on the job
This one's good.Euro 2012 |OT2| Hairline technology
Whoop!Euro 2012 |OT2| Hairline technology
But that does occasionally happen anyway. Implementing some goal-line tech wouldn't change that.

How can i be expected to fully invest myself in the sports when i know how quickly and irrevocably the outcome is decided by stupid rules and not got enough referees?
Don't fully invest yourself then, enjoy the drama :lolHow can i be expected to fully invest myself in the sports when i know how quickly and irrevocably the outcome is decided by stupid rules and not got enough referees?
When there's some technology to prevent false offside/onside calls I would want to have it implemented as well. Why should one bad decision be overturned & not another?
Euro 2012 |OT2| It was offside anyway bu-bu-bu-but handball
Yes quality referees everywhere.
Lol was that a second hand ball from Sweden in the box?

You know the solution to all these bad calls is pretty low tech - have someone watching the replays and then radioing the referee to tell him whether to call offside or if the ball passed the goal line. They just don't want to implement it because CONTROVERSY.
It's the slippery slope argument, if the goal had been given die to goalline tech, then England would be aggrieved at an offside goal given against them.
What's the official reasoning for not doing this? Clearly it can't be 'controversy is good'...
What's the official reasoning for not doing this? Clearly it can't be 'controversy is good'... Is it too expensive for all 1st division matches?

Unlike... which other sport? I guess bowling and maybe golf, can't think of any others. Certainly not any of the major team sports...
