The movie would have been improved with two things:

1) A copious amount of dick shots

It used to be AM talk radio, then moved to putting on an episode of Futurama, then those weren't long enough and I ended up watching through the episode before falling asleep. So now since ~2008 it's been Top Gear. I know way too much about those shows, and I've definitely posted about this before. Dang.

That way if I'm not highly engaged in the material and it's not a big deal if I fall asleep halfway through and miss the back half or can't remember where to restart from.

My problem last night was we had just watched six episodes of The OC so that's all I wanted to watch, but I had agreed to wait for him before continuing on.

Definitely. It's neat how hearing sort of normalizes itself to those noises and when they are gone it feels eerie and foreign. My apartment is the same way with the overhead fan. I think it's been on for over a year ever since I moved in.
