So it's a BD special from an eroge adapation.
That's really fucking sad that Cross Ange is the best selling show this season.

Nah, for now, YuYuYu is best selling show.
Also i guess after next week's ranking, Shirobako will beat Amagi, that's unexpected for me.
Cross Ange's 2nd week will eclipse it. As for Shirobako beating Amagi, that's up in the air as it'll probably depend on DVD sales. They're both close enough to the point where it doesn't matter.
All the shows seemingly underperformed this season. There's going to be no show with a 10k average, hell even 8k is going to be a stretch.

I will say, at least isn't as dull as Bakuman. But I don't know if it's because I like anime more than manga and because I don't have to suffer through the stupid shounen bullshit in order to see an anime get made.
But as it is, it's all procedure pornography but without any interesting contextualizing it. I mean, The Wind Rises is a "boring" movie about a guy trying to design a plane, but at least Jiro was recognizable as a human being. So far, every person on the show is reduced to their job title. Which, admittedly, might be meta commentary on the Japanese corporate lifestyle or something.
I would say that Shirobako documents the realities of making animation (including some real events, as far as I am aware) but it chooses to have a comic outlook. I wouldn't say it's mocking anything so much as salvaging the story from being incredibly depressing. If it was more realistic it would be far too sad and unpleasant, Shirobako still sees itself as entertaining.
Don't hating breh, its even had female fanbase.
That's only line for doujinshi tho.

Nah Cross Ange won't eclipse it, YuYuYu still can sold in 3rd week thanks to lack of stock.
Shirobako and Amagi's DVD are really lame, don't expect them even show up in full rank, and Shirobako already beating Amagi in latest 2 daily ranking, so yeah, PA Works can do it, THEY'RE GONNA FINALLY MADE IT MAN.
YYY restocked the 2nd week and they seemingly haven't sold out again. So it's pretty much stabilized.
Shirobako and Amagi are close enough to where it doesn't matter. This was a horrible season for sales.

Not really horrible, just dispersed, at least this fall will have a show above 20k+(UBW) unlike last year
UBW box might break 20k or something tho
I felt the spread isn't too bad either, and there's title like seven deadly sins that satisfied with super manga sales boost.
We'll see. I'm fully expecting FSN UBW to underperform compared to FZ. It'll clear 20k but I'm starting to doubt it'll hit that 50k FZ average.
There were also a ton of shows this season that didn't make the Manabi line for BD sales.
Also I expect a drop for Cross Ange's 2nd volume as it won't have that event ticket. There were a number of specials for Volume 1s this season so we could see a significant 2nd volume drop across the board.

FZ was 45k average, even UBW only 50% of it, still 22.5k lol

But allocation of effort in G-Loco to other title certainly something that I can appreciate.
It was 50k average actually. I mean it'll clear 20k just off of the FSN name but I'm guessing it might still be a disappointment to Ufotable and TM. FSN's production is clearly more expensive than FZ so more money for a 50% drop in sales is not a good thing.
Edit:Just checked it was 49k.

You're overthinking this, yeah its a "remake" but its an "old stuff" again, so an quite major decline is expected I think.. There's HF movie and new F2P game coming, as long its help brand awareness.. they're happy with big enough sales despite decline.
I can't wait to see them starting to cash in from the spin-off personally lol

Naru is so damn cute. This episode was hilarious, love the humour so far. Sensei just can't seem to adapt to his new climate. He wants to be left alone but I think the interaction with new people will help bring out the inspiriation he is looking for.
The question of "what is talent" was a fantastic quandary in this episode. Is it the ability to create something unique? Amazing? Is strong will and dedication a talent?

Google took over the universe, formed an empire and is using iPhones to track down their nemesis?
Great episode. The art style and animation have been the high points so far. The alien design as they go from place to place in search of inter-dimensional noodles has to be noted. Each dish they consumed looked completely different and unappetizing. Loved Scarlett's introduction, she can really kick ass.

Trigger is tied up with LWA2 and Ninja Slayer next year. But it doesn't seem like it from their newsletter, anime to bump LN sales.

Alright, alright this show is absolutely crazy and all the better for it. After first 3 minutes I expected to drop it after first episode but it just keeps getting better and more absurd. And it's this rare breed of anime comedy that actually manages to make me laugh on consistent basis. If it doesn't get stale, reduces the amount of boob jokes and nukes the developing romance triangle to the moon,it might just get a spot in my Top3.

Tokyo Ghoul is one of the biggest winner of the year with boosting the manga to 700k average with just anime that airing on midnight, I think they happy as hell.
