Fantastic Four Trailer # 1

Admittedly having done a recent re-watch of FNL I will say he (and Kate Mara) are moving the needle a bit for me.

Must be something in the weather. I planned on starting FNL again after work tonight. He's a damn good actor even who kind of steals the show for me. Chronicle missed the mark not making him Matt.

'From The Studio That Brought You' is really scraping the bottom of the barrel. I've seen producers and special effects teams used as 'From.....' but never before a studio.

Hopefully the whole movie isn't like that. It's completely out of tone for a Fantastic Four movie. It doesn't look horrible, but it looks completely uninteresting. Which is disappointing as someone who loves those characters and wants a great movie franchise out of them.

"From the studio that brought you Days of Future Past"

Well gotta latch onto something, no matter how tenuous the link might be I guess.

It looked like a bog standard grim-dark trailer though.

Simon Kinberg is involved with Fantastic Four and X-Men and both are made by Fox?

2016 better shake things up or the fatigue will hit everyone. I'm already expecting the second trailers to show more.

The fatigue is hitting no one so long as the films are good.

Trailer looked better than I expected. More Ultimate style. So maybe we'll get zombies later.

It looks leaps and bounds better than I expected, which doesn't say much as I was expecting a flaming turd.

Maybe it won't be that bad.

GOTG had "From the studio that Brought you The Avengers".

But bro, Disney/Marvel make the BEST comic book movies. What they do is allowed because the characters are WITH Marvel not Sony or Fox.

GOSH.

WHY DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND THIS?!

I JUST WANT TO SEE DOOM FIGHT AVENGERS WHILE SPIDER-MAN WEB SLINGS HIS FACE AND MAKES A JOKE.

I think we were all expecting this

It really looks like something Christopher Nolan would make.

So, it's clear from the trailer that the rumours of the team going into an alternate dimension and not space are true after all.

Some mood setting shots and character intros, standard teaser stuff...., but I can see why Fox were so hesitant to release anything from this. The aesthetic feels off for the material.

And it does feel as though they are trying to hide the film within the teaser. The voice over seems excessive given that Rabbit (as I as I know) isn't actually in the film. Could it be papering over the cracks.

There are no 'wow' moments and everything feels pretty routine here. Because I see most stuff I'll end up checking this out but there's nothing here that says 'see, everyone was wrong, this looks great' which was a must given how awful the buzz for this has been of late.

FTFY

Also, if this movie does end up sucking, this trailer will be looked back on as the best polishing of a turd ever.

Prometheus

Trailer looked alright, more intrigued to watch this than marvel's films this year tbh in that I won't know what I'll be getting into

Roger Corman's Fantastic Four is on Youtube, if anyone wants to watch it. For an old superhero movie, it could've been a hell of a lot worse. The camp is charming.

Man Captain America had an awkward phase.

Most men do until age 30 (when chris evans was in first captain america movie). Then they enter super awkward phase transformation 1 until a super awkward phase ascendant transformation 2 at 32. At 34 they enter final form until 45ish when they depower.

Ultimate attacks include mid life crisis bomb, divorce settlment beam, and coming to terms with yourself kaioken times 10.
