Quina was useless, but wasn't an integral part of the story, so you didn't have to spend too much time on him/her/it. Wakka was shoved in your face from the moment you first met him. Even Kimahri, who was about as useful as a pile of dung, was a better character, if only because he had the decency to shut the fuck up most of the time. As for the whole 'issues over sister in law and dead bro' thing, that wasn't a part of Wakka's personality that bothered me (no, really), but he was so.. ugh. He's just stupid, stupid, stupid. But then again, FF X is a pretty shitty game, so..

I'm only very early on the 2nd disc with about 10 hours in. OMG, I can't believe how lazy SE became with level design. I assume their level editor has industry leading kick-ass copy-paste feature. Can't believe what my beloved FF series turned into...

I thought Wakka's voice fit his character pretty well. Not exactly an Oscar winning performance, but I don't think the voice does anything especially bad.

Nope I didn't notice any Stuttering at all.

Finally got this in the mail about two days ago, but haven't had the time to play it until now. Played for a few hours (I just watched the scene where Vanille and the kid steals that flying vehicle thing and flies to the fal'Cie). So far it seems to be.. OK, I guess. Not as offensively shitty as I expected it to be, but it doesn't seem to be as awesome as FF XII was (although I love that little chocobo babby living in Sazh's 'fro). But it definitely feels very linear, like it's Running Down a Corridor: The Game, and not FF XIII.

That said, I noticed a bit of stuttering in the intro video(s) (PS3 version). Is this a common problem?

What is this post-game you're talking about? There is nothing of extra content for beating the game. You can finish all the missions before killing the final boss and there is nothing left to do. It does not unlock any extra stuff other then the final crystarium which is baffling.

Some six hours into the game, finding it fairly enjoyable. The learning curve is beautifully crafted from simple to complex. Would hope for some more city like locations, everything seems so deserted. The compression on 360 animations is pretty rubbish but otherwise the game looks gorgeous.

Much of the dialog is initially confusing as fuck. The talk about fal'Cie and l'Cie and Pulse and Cocoon and crystals just had me scratching my head. They talk about them like everyday things without much explanation so I have to gradually deduct what they mean.

He's got a buff body, but I don't think he's particularly hot.

The Versus XIII team evidently stole all the HD towns, the world map and the airship, and left the XIII staff with a bunch of corridors.

Are you using the Sentinal role?

If you have Fang as Sent. and Lightning and Hope dealing damage, with occasional healing breaks, you should be able to take down everything.

Its right at the start of chapter 9 and after he beats the first wave of soldiers, Lightning goes straight through the doors into a new area, but when I beat the first wave of guards Lightning takes a lift to the upper platform.

Why are they both different? or am I just going crazy...

I have a bazillion gil and traps so that's not a problem. How many Dark Matters do I need for the trophy? Could just as well buy them if it's not too many. Thanks in advance
