I believe Pugilist is actually PGL. Just want to clarify because PUG is a non-official acronym for "Pick up group". Might confuse people.

"PUG" for pugilist is super common despite PGL being the official abbreviation.

This thread makes me sad and the reason why I have given few shits about pvp the last week. Really don't know what's worse, the fact that the dev team doesn't care to do anything about it(which would be an easy fix of derank all current r40s and kill the premade 4s queue until there's an actual fix), or the fact that more than half of that thread is people defending exploiting the system because they don't like pvp(and even trying to say their actions do not affect the legit players).

I play these games so slow. I should be leveling my GLD beyond 23, but all I want to do is muck around with a new class from the start. Something kinda relaxing about those early levels. Did the same in FF XI too.
Also I am surprised to find myself enjoying questing after all the bad things I've heard about it. A lot of that might have to do with the writing quality and me eagerly wanting to take in whatever lore comes my way. I don't really play mmos so maybe some of the mmo quest tropes haven't burnt me out yet.

You arent. But some of the backtracking / fetch quests do get kind of annoying, considering they could do so many things to spice up the actual fetch quests.
I dont think i'll ever be able to take that abbreviation seriously. Just makes me visualize pugs.

No different than WP speed runs in the 2.0 days. Just as mind numbing IMO.
You do get another free month, but I don't believe it stacks, so you would get one month to go after registering PC. unless they changed that.

So i had a dream last night, Aeana banned me for three hours for using the egg barding on my chocobro. The banned message was, "don't be an egg head." ...it was quite the nightmare.
This game trolls you with outfits in the early levels. Some of the stuff I just refuse to wear even if the stats are better. Like the cone hat for example, what the hell?
Its not really complicated, just dont buckle under the weight
...seriously though, just make sure you dont get hit by landslides or weight of the earth attacks and you'll be fine. The fight is pretty strict, but as long as you roll with the rotation, you'll be fine. Definitely get some practice fights in though.
I killed it on my second attempt in party finder at a paltry 57 ilvl. It's not nearly as bad as people make it out to be and even if the group is bad 40% echo eventually allows you to brute force it. The only thing I found complicated was the bomb rotations and I just picked the player that seemed the best and followed him move for move.

God, this game has the most beautiful fantasy world I've seen. It's so beautiful, I don't even mind the fetch quests because they lead me to see all of it. This is my first MMORPG and I'm totally addicted.

Everyone complains about THM/BLM but I was never and still not bored with that class. My Bard is 43 right now and I'm having fun with that Job also
I think it's the best looking mage set for quite awhile
well that goes without saying... finally some cool looking gear. thankfully i don't really care about how the shoes look, so i don't need them for vanity purposes.
i might have run it a few more times to get those hat & gloves though!

I'm thinking of running Brayflox nm over the summer in order to get the Battlemage pants for Glamour purposes. It's the only part of the Battlemage set I don't have, and I like it better than the current WHM equipment I've been toying around with - although I'll be able to get my ilvl100 robe on Tuesday after a bit more Brayflox hm farming. Fingers crossed the tank doesn't implicitly declare a speedrun of the first two bosses without actually completing the entire thing, and then blames me when I am unable to spend 1.5x the MP I actually have in order to Holy/Stoneskin/Cure(II)/Regen when they pull every single monster before a boss/checkpoint. So I'll probably ask the FC for Brayflox HM runs. ;__;

I understand completely. I have yet to make it past 15 in any class, and have leveled 4 separate classes so far.
It's a bad habit.

That's what I love about the game, you really look like an idiot in the beginning, gives some kind of progression once you're at the end in your super cool armor.
