That is 2000 UK time so... I can do this. Though I didn't get anything for reaching level 50. Did I miss something?

Man, the final boss of Aurum Vale destroyed my party AGAIN last night. F**k that dude. I will have vengeance.

That was first dungeon ever failed our party failed 1 to first boss and 3 times to 2nd then by 3rd had like 2mins. Got into a argument with tank because he refused to let us destroy the malboro fruit during boss fight before they hatched because he wanted the exp. we kept getting swarmed and then wrecked by mobs.

Ahh good times

Farming Turn 2 is worse than a server full of cat girls and bad hair

Fresh new players in Duty Finder are being taught the enrage method only; why community why

Confession time, I never did the rot method, because in all the T2 I done the party wanted enrage. But while enrage is probably easier for decent geared pugs, the waiting for the timer is really boring.

Paladin, I'm in the part that needs 225 myth, I think when I get it that's all, there's no need for more gils.

Leave the 900 upgrade for later. :p

Guys... why when I open the Recommendations window I always get the Duty Roulette low levels 10 and 16 ?

Why they don't recommend me a higher level when I'm 41 now.... do I need to finish the first low levels to unlock the latter ones or what's the big idea here ?

Low Level Roulette encompasses all of the dungeons from lvl 15 to 47.

High Level Roulette and above require you to be at level 50 and having done all the dungeons in the roulette at least once.

Second coil already turning into offspec raid loot only. Almost 10 clears and not a single god damn PLD sword drop. had two BLM weapons this week and both went offspec since BLM is so weak in new coil.

WTB Token system.

So I need to finish these two to be able to get the higher levels later ?!

You don't need to "finish" the roulettes to unlock the higher tiers. The low level roulette covers every trial and dungeon between levels 1-47.

The higher level roulettes appear when you take at least 2 duties from the category but you need to complete everything in the category to be allowed to run it (for example, high level roulette requires you to complete (IIRC) Wanderers Palace, Ampador Keep, Pharos Sirius, Copperbell Hard and Haukke Manor Hard)

So I can just ignore these two ( lvl 10 / lvl 16 ) and I should be fine and miss nothing..... Thanks guys.
No.

The roulettes are available once a day, and if you complete the low level duty roulette once daily it will give you an exp bonus. That exp bonus will help boost you to 50 faster.

Guildhest can be ignored, but it comes with an exp bonus too, and usually doesn't take long to complete.

PVP skils change from normal PvE ones. So no agro pull.

Hmmm... I might Google that sh*t.

First time we were doing really well until the last boss then group disbanded due to drama. Second attempt last night was just with a really ropey squad. I'm amazed we made it that far. Favourite highlights were the healer leaving a fight to run across the room to get the treasure chest. Of course he brought the whole room back with him and then died. Second to last boss, myself and the other black mage had to take him down (swapping aggro and alternating between running away and blasting him) since tank was dead. After a few attempts at last boss healer quits and then we abandon. I queued an hour for that, man. I least I got some loot. Will try again tonight.

With Echo Buff, you barely need to be using any kind of cooldown to put out respectable damage. 15% damage increased is a lot. You'll always be close on hate as well because Echo doesn't effect the amount of threat generated, and just the amount of damage. But if you want to be respectable on your damage and exceed those of your peers, you're going to want every damage cooldown you can get. If you put out good damage and good support on Bard, people will remember that and want to play with you more.

Yeah, I agree in the general case - but the question was at which point should you be expected to have it, but I think this is more a case of 'are you bringing enough tools to the fight to contribute equally?'

The entry bar for Titan HM is i57. An i57 person is going to need everything else which isn't related to equipment to pull their weight. An i90 person is going to be doing more than the B4B 10% extra damage just as standard, as well as being harder to kill, because they spent more time earning upgrades than cross levelling. Either approach is valid if they join the run and aren't a weak link.

Why not add an additional cross hotbar for lesser-used skills? I find the R2->L2 press is great for that.

Might just do that; I've been keeping the non-battle stuff like Teleport, Return, and the like on there. (And Beckon, for those miserable escort levequests.) Thanks for the tip!

I'm kind of surprised people aren't using the full 8 cross hotbars to their advantage.

I have bars 5-8 locked across all classes, and those encompass my menu functions, gearsets, emotes, and miscellaneous things like mounts and target markers.

The other four hotbars are class dependent and never contain Return/Teleport, because those aren't the kinds of things you need to press in battle anyway.

Of the 5 jobs I play, I can't have only one combat hotbar for each one of them, so cycling around is necessary.

I have 8 cross bars up. I only use the standard two crossbars for classes (and that third one when my pet is out) as I really don't use macros and all. Then I have a cross bar for PVP, a crossbar for mounts/emotes/duty/minions/two horizontal bars for DoL and my jobs and two horizontal bars for global cool downs that almost all of my classes use like Swiftcast/Rouse/Spur/Enkindle/Virus/Raging Strikes/Aetherflow.

Question about postgame dropped gear: I obtained cudgels from both Ifrit and Titan. What value do these have, if you already have your relic weapon? They seem to offer fire- and earth-related bonuses, but is there anything else you can do with them?

So, it's been heavily suggested that I go Dragoon instead of Warrior for T8. My DRG is ilvl91, using mostly Myth armor, sans Pants and Arms which are Allagan. I'm also using the T5 Spear and the Slaying Ribbon.

Roughly most much further geared up do I need to be, in order to be useful as an extra DPS in T8? Keeping in mind that I won't be spending much Soldiery until I've bought at least a couple tokens for my Tank weapon.

IE: What Soldiery, crafted pieces, and weapon drops are REALLY must have?

Edit: accessories are mostly Allagan, but I have the Garuda ring as well.

Really enjoying my time with the game, especially running dungeons with GAF, hunting logs and taking in the art & music but I'm not sure I'm gonna resub a 4th month. I'm at 48 now, so I think I'll wrap up the main quests & Hildebrand quests before my sub runs out.

Player housing & triple triad would bring me back, so we'll see.

I'm going to try getting into Ultros tonight.

How is PVP in this game? If you were to compare it to WoW's, is there any similarities?

I91 will be fine as long as your accuracy is around the 490s.

Don't hinder your tank to be the extra DPS.

By far your largest gains will come from HQ potent poison pots, HQ str pots, and learning/executing your optimal combo.

Time to lose the fracture and do what all the other DRGs do. Your DPS on ACT should be around 330-350 with i91. If you aren't hitting that number you are doing something that needs to be corrected.

EDIT: your job as the extra DPS isn't to be geared or top the charts. It is to be something higher than the 200ish your warrior could pump out in DPS gear.

I tried looking around online for an answer but could only find outdated stuff on loot restrictions.

How many items do each boss drop in Crystal Tower? Please say more than 2.

hey guys, this is on sale at GMG and I want to check it out. Is there a 30-day trial period that comes with new purchases, or would I have to set that up in addition to buying the game?

Best similarity I can give is.....it's broken beyond belief. All that is currently in the game is arena style pvp which most of the time is just zerg the healer or caster. Frontlines is coming in 2.3(3-4 weeks most likely) and it will be more like WoWs battlegrounds from what little they have said, beyond that though it will still most likely be broken but possibly a little less since 2.3 is getting some balance changes.

What's the next story dungeon after Tam-Tara? I did Halaliti too.
Haukke Manor. If you don't have the FFXIV Libra app and have an iOS device, you should get it, it has a lot of useful info like this.

Another stupid question that I cannot find an up to date answer. I read a lot of groups will drop players in AF armor in Crystal Tower, is this still the case?
