I reached WHM 50 beating the Main Scenario Quests and running the daily roulette for my bonus, got there pretty quick.

Dungeons (especially first time / level appropriate)
Hunt Logs (massive exp for completion)
Main Scenario (good for Gil too)
Class/job quests (source of gear and skill unlocks)
FATES (level appropriate, between dungeons)
Leve Quests - Battle (waiting for FATES and dungeons)
Daily roulettes (Low level for you)

Also make sure to eat food in dungeons. That 3% exp bonus will be worth it against mobs that give so much.

Nothing is better than a Daily Low Level Roulette. Other things will speed things up along the way and contribute, but in terms of effort/time, the LLR is the best option. Especially when you get Ifrit!

I started playing/got my retainers around the beginning of December and have pretty much always had them out on exploration (the long ones) every day. My DRG retainer just got to 50 a couple days ago. I wasn't as diligent about sending them out for the first couple weeks after getting them tho (since I didn't have much venture until I was 50) so your mileage may vary, but I'd say about 1.5-2 months if you play every day.

My sub will run out well before I'm halfway there...

The only detail is there's no "base class" for these new jobs. Like, no "Knight" > "Dark Knight" or whatever. But yeah overall the details have been very vague or simply not revealed yet. I guess they'll ramp up the reveals as we go but atm they're still trying to promote the current patch stuff.

ahhh. If it's the mechanic I'm thinking about (T11 adds electric paralysing thingymajig?) it might just be people panicking because it's like almost a raid wipe if you hit people so they say it a lot.

having said that though on our T11 clear Drama managed to hit at least 4 of us with it and we still cleared :L

I got the flu this weekend, so I decided to spend it fishing. Didn't feel like playing anything serious.

I got my supra rod pretty easily. It's nice that you can skip the forager rod now. Dealing with the silver sovereigns didn't sound fun.

I'm working on my Lucis rod, but it's slow going. I'm at 5/30 clams so it'll be a while yet.

What are good fish to make money nowadays? Other than the ninja one for the minion, not much else seems to sell much. It's annoying that most 3 star fish literally have no use. At least make them part of furniture recipes or glamour stuff. At least leveling up CUL desynth is the cheapest thing ever, too bad it seems pretty useless right now.

Sharing EXP and loot, being able to message each other in a party (which is irrelevant to you), and queuing up for dungeons together.

I think you can still be invited to a party, so you could try having a third person inviting both of you then leaving the group.

Yup. 3.1 will be the next step after 2.51.

Zodiac Weapons will evolve to their ultimate form in patch 2.51!

Will Zodiac weapons continue to undergo development in the future? Like in Heavensward?
Y: Since players who have been going through the whole Zodiac weapon saga so far have put a lot of work into it, it won't be like we suddenly forget all about them. For Heavensward, since the character level cap will be raised at the start, the adventurer himself will grow, so players will be aiming to acquire new items through the new content. Whether it's the Zodiac Weapon Saga or its sequel, players will be able to continue growing a weapon in patch 3.1.

So Zodiac Weapon owners will get some attention at that time.

Anyway, before that happens, there will be some further strengthening of the Zodiac weapons in patch 2.51.
Y: If you complete the "ultimate form" of the Zodiac Weapon in patch 2.51, you'll have the strongest versions leading into the release of Heavensward, so I think you'll have an advantage.

Y: As usual, we can't say until we publish the patch notes. Of course, the item level is important, but the intention of the Zodiac Weapon is that players can tweak the parameters to their liking by adjusting the stats to take advantage of their preferences and suit the other equipment they have.
